I really enjoyed both the races, Sunday. Recorded automatically on the virgin box.
Exciting. When is Leeds?

June 6th. Are the elites doing the same route as AG does anyone know?
good question - don’t know yet. The bike route will probably be different with laps in Roundhay Park to comply with COVID guidelines for elites and also for media friendliness.
It’s a shame they’re not using the big lake as part of the elite run course as it’s a decent climb back up to the top of the park and add some spice to the run.
I will cycle up to watch if we’re allowed.
In previous years it has been great to watch the likes of Flora Duffy and the Aussies doing some swimming in the pool.
they might be yet - nothing has been announced for any part of the elite course although the swim is likley to be the same as in previous years
Official announcement is out then. Yee is in.
Not the greatest surprise really probably would have had the second place before his work at Leeds, not really warmed to him yet for some reason
No surprise and the right choice. I haven’t seen enough of him outside of racing to form much of an opinion. IIRC @Hammerer can’t stand him. He seems nice enough, Yee not Carlos.
I am always wary of disliking sports people based on how they are during competition as it is in no way a normal environment. I wouldn’t pretend to know the Brownlees but have seen them often at the pool (after the swim) and at running races and they both come across as down to earth and nice blokes. Jonny is especially chatty and talks about races the way any of us would. Yet some can’t stand them because of how aggressive they race.
One of the nicest young lads Ive met and was so mature as a kid. Always going to be a Super⭐. Comes from good stock. Really nice family behind him.
He’s from Lewisham like me - Nobody likes us and we don’t care!
Only kidding. I’m sure we’ll get to know him better if he brings home a medal.
Had some ‘fun’ when hearing that song a few years ago, the wonderful Cold Blow Lane
I went there myself once, late 80’s or early 90’s, shudder…
We rode our luck for three visits in a row and then fortunately went in different directions league-wise, think my fave one was getting all of the top ten on the pub quiz machine opposite the tube exit with the user name AVFC, left pretty sharpish
I played a cup final there as a 17year old, must have been 91. It was imtimidating with no one there
It sent shivers around us locals too - I never went there.
that says so much about Carlos the Hammerer…
