It’s fate I tell ya
How far away are they? Hope you are wrapped up?
Leader currently at mile 66
Back marker at mile 32
Going to be a long night
Just went out wearing it, probably wouldn’t have if it weren’t still on the back of the sofa from the picture yesterday, but it was there so I grabbed it.
Was nice to begin with, but once I’d warmed up it was too much.
All round very sweaty, and it wasn’t really raining that much so I needn’t have bothered.
But I’ve not found a jacket that I can’t out-sweat with even just a small amount of effort, and this was a pretty small amount of effort (though it felt pretty hard!)
Cheers mate, very similar to my experience today but my coat was the heavy one. I don’t think any of them breather as well as they claim, so the best thing for this time of year is going for lighter.
You still there?
Until cut off at 11:40
That’s a decent shift, good on ya mate.
And in some quirk of foreshadowing fate, the pocket in my Kamlieka failed yesterday. I rarely use them on this coat, so it might have failed before yesterday and they are the welded seam type but still a bit annoying. These coats are not cheap.
Gary Barlow’s son did Thames Path this weekend
Finished in 26:39 - good on him - big lad
Remember him from the aid station at Radley
Gary Barlow lives around here, basically in the middle of a field.
is he a mole?
Don’t think so, I heard he likes to let in the sun.
Sandstone Trail Ultra on Sunday
Taking it as easy long run - longest of the year so far and a good test for what sort of shape I am in
Hoping it is not a complete mud fest after the rain this week
Looks like a great day out mate, enjoy. Weather is looking good isnt it?
Not too shabby - sunny in the morning but bit of rain in the afternoon
