Wonder if she’s cheated previously?

That’s the obvious question isn’t it. And even if she hasn’t, she’ll never escape the suspicion now.

The Warrington Way (40 miles) entries open this weekend. Yes, it’s flat, no, it’s not the most scenic. But is very friendly and often (not always) a large dose of mud for good measure.

Bit of a long shot but I’m in the market for a lightweight w/proof that would be ‘useful’ but also complies with mandatory kit in the warmer months.
This looks like a good price but I’ve never used a smock type before, any one have on of these?
Mt lightweight jacket previously was an OMM Halo+ but the pocket split, so I got a refund. they are currently £135.

Have had a Montane Minimus in the past - super lightweight but found it not massively breathable (but then similar issues with all others). Was super lightweight and packed down small.

A bit of a faff having no full length zip

Seem to get good write ups as a brand but not experience with that model I am afraid.

Cheers mate. Yeah I can’t really see me enjoying a smock, probably being guided by the price. Did the Minimus have the clips for keeping together with the zip undone?

I have have an OMM Kamlieka for proper weather but this time of year it’s too warm for me.

Think had the clip but can’t recall - sorry

No worries, cheers mate.

There’s a popper on a tag at the upper chest area on my Minimus Stretch.

Nice. I was only thinking yesterday it must be about time for the first 100 miler. Are you getting a free entry?

Thanks mate, trottertastic! How do you find the jacket?

I look on the hooks at the bottom of the stairs, it’s usually there. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I’ve not used it much; it’s been good when I have. Pretty sweaty, but I am a sweaty man so that’s not that surprising.

boom boom

They do say that you can have one but not the primary motivation

Volunteers at the Centurion events do put a lot into making it such a good experience

They do indeed. Stephen Cousins is going for a grand slam this year.

Forgot to tell you my amazing story of the day. On my run this morning I clambered up the top of St Catherine’s Hill and there were three female runners at the top taking a (very rain soaked) selfie. One of them clocked me in the trail gear and asked if I was training for anything.
I said I had a couple of races coming up but ultimately I was aiming for Arc100. Her eyes light up and said ‘My partner did that this year’!

So we had a conversation about cut offs and how hard the trail is and stuff and everyone was very interested. She told me about the crewing they did and I asked if they thought if it really could be done without a crew etc.

Anyway we were chatting for a good 10 mins and they asked me my age and basically thought it was amazing for even trying being 'so old. We were heading our separate ways and they called me back and said that they were crewing some others next year and would be happy to help me out if they could! :open_mouth: We exchanged numbers and will keep in touch. (they live fairly local).

Then I said ‘did your partner finish’? and she said he did. His name is Sam Skinner. I looked him up and he came 9th :man_facepalming:
