'cos it’s mental hard and Justin probably wants people to quit and go home quicker than last year.

That’s right.

No major reason, other than curiosity and mixing it up. Wondering how many laps people may do if they just go at it and interesting to see the various strategies etc.

It’s only a small event anyway, but as it’s so local, costs to run it are comparatively low/fixed so he can get away with smaller numbers.

Centurion Winter 200 kicked off today.
Weather forecast looks like it could be a lot worse. The mud is going to be pretty grim on some of it though off the recent rain.

Good luck to them - knowing how I feel after a hundred, not sure that doing it all again would be something I would want to contemplate

The trails are pretty bad right now. Getting windy out there, I just came back from a 9km road run, that was enough of that!

Was thinking about this , this morning . I’d rather do 200 miles somewhere warmer ( not that I want to run 200 miles). Good luck to them .

Leaders with around a marathon to go.

Back of the pack around 100 miles behind them :face_with_peeking_eye:

What’s the cut off for this, 72hr?

Not sure tbh

Front pair had been working together but one seems to have opened up a lead now and only has 5 miles to go

Mrs FT’s team relay today, 90km coast to coast East to West

She had the first and shortest leg, 11km starting at the coast in the darkness at 5am

we’re currently sat at the final change over station at 77km waiting for the 5th runner to come in.

Strong headwind all day

I’m driving the support car and your all mad

I think that’s one race where I’d consider gaiters

I hope she had fun?

Long day out crewing for 77km, I imagine you’d rather be running.

hmmm not sure, it was kind of fun watching

3.30am alarm was not so fun

They just finished - 9h01. That’s them having the group hug

edit: just found out winning mens team ran it in 5h26, that’s 3m36 per km and the headwind was really strong too :scream:
