Trail & Ultra Running Thread

Has anyone seen the video of her sprint finish and collapse on the gate? Totally inspirational! You can kind of hear saying I’m alright as a few of them check and get her a chair.

She managed to come on tarmac with a long finish straight that must have been agony wondering if she had enough time.

It reminds me of my 6 minute K sprint through Chamonix to get under 19 hours :joy: felt like I was doing a 3:30K :joy:

Edit: yeah the video above :point_up_2:

Just freakin’ awesome.

It won’t be heralded, but this will be the female sporting achievement of the year

And now for something completely different. First race I have been to with a Geiger Counter at race reception

It’s the Hardmoors 55 today as well, conditions looked alright at the start but I think some of the route is still soft.

The man in denim was lingering at the front :joy:

The video of the final 2 minutes is fantastic. Still can’t believe how close it was.

Admittedly not my finest work, but this may be Mrs T finishing.

Ive been looking at her back history, i dont really follow ultra, but what an exceptional athlete. I guess to even make the start of the BM you have to be recognised as decent, unless you are number 1 . Watched a doc on tubes of last years event today. Almost makes me want to run.

Better write up to follow but that was one of the hardest things I have done. The hills were brutal and unrelenting

Currently trying the warm up in bed(was cold by the end and always get uncontrollable shivers after a race like that after stopping moving) and eating pizza with a bottle of Chianti (what else)

She is also really pleased with the nice comments from my internet mates
