Is it a lottery or doesn’t really fill up? Fairly sure you need to prove experience for the long one? I’m guessing you’ll be fine for that?

Qualification seems to be having completed an ultra over 80 miles - should be fine

I watched and enjoyed the daily videos from the Spine Race this year - and one thing I really liked (good job really as it was about 80% of each video) was the competitors talking to camera whilst traversing the route.

These clips I’m assuming were recorded by a drone (unless someone is running down a hill pointing a video camera behind them and framing the shots nicely) but what I was impressed with was the lack of the sound of drone propellors spinning. I’m just intrigued as to how it was recorded - as I’ve never heard of a silent drone. The runners may have had a mic on them for these clips - I don’t know but you could easily hear their footsteps as well as their voice - and you couldn’t hear any other sounds so it’s not like someone was running along beside them with a camera.

Anyone know how they would do this filming as I thought it came across really well.

There’s a lady local to me - Helen Ryvar - who I’d never heard of until she joined up for a couple of runs with Sean Conway as part of his 105.

Anyway, on Friday she will be running her 1000th consecutive half marathon.

That’s quite something, eh?

It’s crazy & all very British & under the radar. I’m very impressed, but not quite impressed enough to get up at 03:30 to run with her  .

Bloody hell, I hope that weather backs off according to the forecast. If it’s later, then the Arc100 folks are in for an uncomfortable start!

I’m here at the eco park, in the queue for kit check (it’s a long one!)

Think i’m more nervous about kit check than the actual race!

If it’s like last year, you put the items in a special space in a couple of boxes but it’s UTMB now, so lord what Gallic town hall madness they’ve come up with.
I was in and out in 15 mins last year but those extra numbers will have an effect for sure.
