Oh dear my mouse seems to have slipped again and I haven’t even done my 2025 A race yet

300km across the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales and Moors - non stop (well there are sleep stations but the clock keeps on tickin’)

That’s insane but good luck and let us know if there’s a tracker.

There will be a tracker, this year’s race starts on Saturday.

I did the Lakes Traverse (the first 100k across the Lakes to Shap) in '23, and that was tough going.

I had a short run in the new Fujispeed 2’s tonight, albeit most of it was on the tarmac. Felt quite good, springy but firm, although not as springy as a pair of Alphafly’s.

Made a bit of a slappy sound on tarmac but that could have been the tread.

On the bit of trail I did they felt pretty grippy, but the trails are pretty dry at the minute.

Hoping to use them at the trail race on Saturday but my knee has been a bit tight and sore, so I’m continuing to massage the quad and adductor area. I won’t take any risks and could drop to the shorter route but would have to accept a DNF I think.

ooh lala, 1st Class?

If you’re stopping at Birmingham, Mark Derbyshire is in the race and he doesn’t own a car IIRC. So let his race expectations down gently.

Hoping for no school trips on the train today :face_with_peeking_eye:

Been for a nice walk on the seafront, pasta dinner at the Italian round the corner

Looking forward to this one even though the last 6 weeks of training has been garbage

Not quite sure how it’s going to go but forecast is perfect and the course is a real belter
