Very jealous of anyone who will be there in person!

Yeah, the last 2k on tarmac on my bike
@tunster , have you had a mail from Centurion about âno crew past Washingtonâ? I watched the webinar last night and I reviewed the Crew and Pacers link which still has crew access past Washington.
If I do crew/support, I was probably going to bail at Washington anyway but didnât know if you have a crew at all? I heard from my mate Craig but of course, Iâm not on the dist list anymore since pulling out.
Thatâs not ringing a bell with me @FatPom - but perhaps I wasnât fully paying attention as Mrs Tâs crew support is likely to be limited to Washington only
Will have another look tonight
Just re-read his text and he says: âAnother change (I think) - no crew past Washington until the finish. Maybe to cut down on traffic/noiseâ?
I didnât listen to the whole webinar because i skipped out when he said that crews must check the crew video and tab (which I did). Craig said there was fine tuning to aid station placements and distances.
I did notice that QEP was over the road. I know where they mean because thatâs where Big Feat start their events. Basically itâs smack down the bottom of Butser Hill, so just under 1km earlier than normal.
Had a look at the emails again - cannot see anything along those lines but note there is a requirement so it seems to pick up a crew pass:
âCrew and Supporters must ONLY MEET YOU at the points on this link. Nowhere else. You must only have one crew vehicle on course at any one time - you will be issued with a crew pass at registration which your crew will need to have on display in any crewing location. You may hand this to them at the start, or carry it on course until you meet them and handover then.â
Not sent the need for a crew pass before
Ah ok, he may be mistaken. Yes I heard about the crew notice thing. I think we are all heading up to rego on Friday and then going to dinner, so I will get it then. He doesnât really need a crew, Iâm more of a floating supporter really.
I shall be keeping an eye out for you - assuming my knee doesnât get any worse
Look forward to it. Iâll bung a bit of everything in the car, just in case
My mate Jamie is in SA for Comrades, heâs nailed his training. He just sent me some short clips from safari. Donât see these on SDW!
Really enjoying following John Kellyâs AT fkt attempt. Heâs 1/4 through so far. I find it so heart warming when people come out to support him and yeah heâs crushing it, so keep going John
Iâve watched a couple of the YT clips Anna, heâs going really well!
Looks like Doug is on another bonkers adventure!
Doing 3 days of Dragonsback recces.
More or less covered day 3, yesterday and today. Weather was good as was most of the trail.
Tomorrow plan to do the last 40k of day 2, though the weather looks a little damp in the morning.
Thanks to @ed_m for putting me up
So off to Reading tomorrow for the 24hr race. Not me obvs, but Jan She got a late offer of a solo place and will use it as training
I actually like the event; its absolutely massive; pretty much a small village. Rain forecast for Saturday but hopefully not too heavy. I wouldnât want any of it getting into my beer
Itâs a great event, a bit expensive now but thatâs Threshold for you.
Get in that queue early , straight across the field and over to the right
Nice. I know someone going for her third finish this weekend. Once you get three youâre pretty much on the way to 10 and a green number Iâd say.
Comrades is still on my bucket list. One day maybe.
