Good luck Doug!
Test it out by just leaving on for the next few days?
If I could survive 60hrs, Iād be happy with every 5 mins!
If Google AI is right itās about what you say and most of the restriction is at Garmin or just a lack of memory in the device. Iām sure most others are the same.
The Garmin Forerunner 965 does not have a hard limit on activity file size for storage on the watch itself. However, the Garmin Connect platform has a 25MB file size limit for manual uploads. Additionally, thereās a limit of 99,999 total points per file, which can restrict the duration of activities recorded with high data recording frequency (like 1-second recording) to around 27 hours.
Bloody hell, this looks amazing!
Thatās a lot of vert I recommend everyone watches right to the finish
Still places for this year on the mental edition!
The extreme is the shorter one but you have to show qualifying experience I think
That would be too steep for me downhill - id be walking the whole thing - looks beautiful though just for a little holiday.
The Extreme one looks terrifying! The Sky one just looks regular scary AF
@doug is there somewhere on the Dragons Back website you can download the full route - I can see the Alltrail one - but no option to download?
@doug ignore me - found it .
Iām only wondering because the book Iām reading is the second one that has featured the race but do you anyone that has done Spartathlon? That seems a tough old ask, 152 miles in 36hrs in that heat!
Hasnāt really appealed to me - the first half (?) of the race out of Athens through the burbs next to the traffic
Plus heat, hills a long way and with tight cut off
Yeah getting out of Athens sounds bad. Absolutely nothing about the race appeals to me, same with MdS.
I went up to some of the hills when I was in Athens for a run, they were nice but wouldnāt fancy that distance!
And even in late October it was boiling hot
I know a couple of people who have done this. They said the traffic around Athens was pretty dangerous.
Did they finish?
Yes but they are generally good runners.
Good stuff. Itās definitely not for me (even if I could do the distance!)
Agreed I think the qualifier is quite quick too - it would be too much of a stressful race.
