Training - What Training?!

Day off yesterday. Just couldn’t be arsed. Even stopped for a McDonalds on the way home.

Today, back at it. This morning, 45 minute spin class. This evening 1.5k in the pool.

5km jog to Parkrun then considering how muddy and slippery it was, a pretty good effort with LO for a 25.15

Her best time at that course is 24.45 and best Parkrun at Burnham is 24.23

Parkrun, 20:22, running is a total struggle ATM but a fairly stiff coastal breeze on the last 2K didn’t help.

Feeling like I’m getting back in the swing of things now after a few easy weeks.

Only a couple of short swims and around 35km of running with some easy cycling thrown in.

Forecast tomorrow looks shite, so turbo am then a jog in the arvo, would like to get another swim in but I’m not sure I’ll get it past the other half

Another bright sunny day down here. Just did junior parkrun with the youngest, pub lunch for fil bday. Gonna pack my kit and run home from there, get a few miles in.

Achilles is not happy, so I’m resting. I need to finish the bike and be in tip top condition for Goodwood, maybe :sunglasses:

My 15 mins light stretching ( now) edges me to 12 hours this week

SIX swims ! Including one hour test yesterday were I put my goggles on far too tight so only managed 51 mins but was holding 1:52 per 100 pace, fastest for a bit.

New bike hour power record, pity it was a two hour one and I paid the price!

Some slightly faster running, and lots of the usual crap. Got a terrible snotty nose, so off back to sleep !

First week back after annual two week hiatus and eat my own body weight in buffet food holiday.

  • Tuesday - 8.5 mile easy run
  • Wednesday - level 1 hour on the bike
  • Thursday - 40 min run with strides after
  • Friday - tempo hour on bike
  • Saturday - tempo hour on bike, same course as day before, 16W more, 8bpm less, slower by 0.5mph - go figure
  • Sunday - Gainsborough & Morton 10km - my blubbery ass managed 43:07 which is 45 seconds slower than 10k three weeks and three kilos ago
