Training - What Training?!

That’s what I was thinking. Cba to go out at this time on my own. :+1:t3:

There’s this if you get your skates on, don’t have to savage yourself, do it at race pace\position?

Then an easy C\D

Edit: quality above quantity

Did nothing today. Kicked the ball around with Lo in the garden after being out on the moto. That was it.

Let’s go with ‘taper time’ :crossed_fingers:

Whilst I’ll never hit some of the training hours a lot of you do, May has gone well for me so far.

Finished this week with this, and I’m happy. Good mix of sbr and S&C.

Will be a test this week as I’m in the office twice. Also need to sort out this wetsuit issue, as I should start sea swimming now.

Just finished the week with a blast of just over an hour. Luckily I’d got my bike and kit all out before my mate bailed, so I just chucked it on and went out the door.

First half hour was a bit like a dream, blurry. 10mins in I nearly brought up my meatball dinner I’d just eaten. Slowed right up at the end with a few walk breaks. Not selling it as a great run am I? Ha ha. But at least I did something.

Warmish night, haven’t run on my own at night for a long time.

Missed out on a long run and a long bike, otherwise happy with the week.

Sleep is low
HRV is low
Training status is finally showing as Productive
VO2 has ticked up on the bike a few points
Load is at the lower end or optimal

So this week needs some early bed times and long/easy sessions.

Lots been going on the last couple of weeks! Been doing my PT qualification, half days at work and trying to pack in all the usual training.

This weekend was my biggest ride by 100km, 268km down to Salcombe, 12 solo hours door to door. 90km up to Exeter the day after. The hills round there are bloody awful :sob: Legs aren’t feeling too bad but the exhaustion is real.

How’s your mouth?
Serious question … mine is always obliterated after a longer ride. Like really sore tongue and inner cheeks.

I guess it’s all the salty/sugary drinks :woman_shrugging:t4:

And I feel your pain. Headache today for me :sob:

No, mouth is fine. Digestive system is a little less happy.

Top of pecs just by the arm pit were a bit tender on Sunday. Time in the aero bars that one I realised.

8 hours last week

Pretty determined to keep some kind of exercise plan going during a “ strange” time for me.

Struggling to sleep now so I’ll do what I can this week, cheers for all the support tri talkers

I can’t relate to what you’re going through but I’ve had two bouts of unemployment through redundancy. The first one, I beat myself up and felt guilty about doing anything for myself, so really didn’t.

The second one ( at the start of lockdown) I realised that these things are going on regardless of what I do. So i cracked on with DIY and training and of course looked for a new role but there is only so much you can ‘think away’ before you need a physical distraction and that may just as well be one you enjoy. (not DIY of course, that sucks donkey’s balls. :man_facepalming: )

I’m totally exhausted today :face_with_peeking_eye:
Not sore, just tired.
Dog was up at @APM o’clock (can I drop him off on Saturday morning? :joy::face_with_hand_over_mouth:) and I was burning up last night and had a terrible nights sleep.

I always “run hot” after a hard race or long run/ride and can’t seem to cool down :woman_shrugging:t4:
After Open water swimming only, I’m cold for hours afterward.
Odd.

Anyway, the good news is that I’m not stiff, or sore.
No aches or pains. :white_check_mark:
Need to do a few back-to-back rides soon to get used to it again.
Something like; Thu PM 70km, Fri AM 100km, Fri PM 30km turbo, Sat 160km, Sun 100km.
