Training - What Training?!

Thanks for the advice guys, definitely need multiple bottles of suncream to help me get through it!

Think @Adam and I have caught the same bug.

Still feel awful. No training.

Another early night for me. I figure it’s no such bad thing. Got some sugar down em this afternoon, survived work, a 6th birthday party. I might crack open a beer see how it goes down

1hr 15 ride home. Should know better than taking an extended ride home in a Friday afternoon. Generally, terrible driving throughout the ride.

Still feel off. Tested the water with a 6k run.

25 minutes. 74m elevation.

All good so far, but AVERAGE HR was 174.

May give it another day off.

1.6km paddle boarding.

800m skins swim - open water in between the boarding. Took my goggles, cap and tow float.
Easy. 1:55/100m (which included being held up by my lead out lady :joy::roll_eyes:)

Is this just a creative way to say you fell in a lot?

LOLZ!
Someone actually commented on how dry I was
I did an Actual swim, front crawl, with goggles and a hat :exploding_head:

The time doesn’t tell the whole story. I met a lady who was training for Arc100 and this will be her third attempt (timed out at Pendeen). She looked a lot fitter than me! We chatted for about 10 mins and I didn’t stop my watch. Tried two or three new trails that I got lost on had to double back.
Spoke to a guy with some dogs about how much Wells had changed. Had to let a farmer know one of his ewes was limping badly. Then after all that, about two kms from Wells I saw a tourist that was lost hiking over from Wookey Hole and was was trying to get to the Cathedral, so I walked him there and took the long way home.

Not sure how much training got done but it was an eventful morning.

We sometimes go up that way & I always think Rodney Stoke is more like the name of an older gent you’d meet at the pub, than an actual place.

 There’s a ton of places like around here (Charlton Mackerel !) I’m not why Rodney Stoke shows up large when I take that trail, I’m quite some way from it and a long way above.

Are you sure you’re not a community policeman? Steady on.

50kms to ride out to Shepperton Lake and back, to watch some mates do some tri training. A very long coffee stop so @Poet would be mortified. :grinning:

A new experience on my run today. I caught, overtook and left behind… a boat :joy:

No idea what the speed limit is on the cale canal but apparently I run faster than it.

Major loss of mojo this week. Managed 2 * runs and 2 * swims. Then nothing. Bit crap, but busy with the family all weekend.

Hoping for a tad better next week.

Yeah, illness has killed my week too. Nothing of note since Wednesday. Definitely feel like I’ve just been suffering from form of fatigue then a fever. Feeling much better today despite putting a shift in on the garden, must have sweated everything out. Roll on race week and rain!

No rain now @Adam.
Bloody windy like!!!
Great temperatures for IMUK, too at 19°.

For me?
I managed a run, a ride, a swim and some fun.
A HUGE 2hrs of logged exercise in a week
