Either is good, we’ll done to her! talking to a few who had a run through one very very silly ( he’s a triathlete too!) 30 year old who basically did it with the flu !
He sent me several voice mails and he sounded like he was dying! 1:14 still, as a very rough rule
Think sprint tri … not many at all get the hour, under 1:20 is good.
Its becoming more and more apparent that ped use is rife, anyone questioned ( and they all seem decent people) just states there’s no testing so it’s “ fine”
WTAF?
A bit shit going in to a race knowing it’s far from a level playing field but if I did well and took peds I would genuinely feel ashamed of myself, I would rather be last and clean
He sent me a message basically admitting he uses drugs, but that’s perfectly fine as There is no testing.
This is a very common thought process throughout the sport.
“ if they start to do WADA style testing I’ll do something else “
He wins / comes high in his AG most races I think, imagine Dave the dentist or M spooner saying “ there was no testing so I fueled up on EPO and test” im sure everyone on here would understand ?!
Two very different sports, but cheating is cheating in my mind
About 6:45 this week but a lot more running which in hindsight wasn’t a great idea. Pretty sore in the stomach area where I get a recurring problem. Clearly not ready for 4 runs a week and didn’t help myself by doing a few hard sessions.
Also feeling pretty sluggish ATM but I’m fairly sure I know what the problem is. Think I need to back off for a few more weeks if I don’t want to ruin next season!
Anyway, 3 short swims but actually enjoyed yesterday’s, the pool was quite pleasant and although it wasn’t long it was faster than I’ve swam for a while.
Just ticking over on the Tour of Watopia for the double XP!
Away with the running club next weekend but I’ll probably only run one day, booked in to give blood again on the Sunday so will force me to take it easy for a bit!
Quad day. Run commute x2. 45 min zwift. Now heading for a swim. Monday training camp. Would be better to go swim, bike, run sequence, but at least I have a good wash at the end of it!
6.6 km fast run on trails. Garmin keeps telling me to take a rest day. Well, I say ‘No’ to the computer. I’ll take a rest day when I’m good and ready (once I’ve over trained into oblivion obviously)…
Also Roller skiing for kicks and thrills while trying to work out how to not kill myself.
And the weights in the gym. Squats of all types and more.
Got out for a decent 16kms today at lunch. Was a lot warmer than expected and the forecast chance of rain didn’t materialise.
Feeling like I’m moving better again now. If I can get a min of 60 km this week, that’ll give me an average of 60kms for the last 4 weeks. Which is pretty decent for off season, generally aimless running.
Dragging out these last few miles whilst my legs are still in their 30s!
