Thanks FP It def feels nice to have a bit of normality for a couple of weeks.
Edit: amazing weather today, run 2.5km cut short due to feeling queasy and a bit dizzyâŚbut thatâs vertigo, just got to get through it.

Just over 5 hours this week including g 2 hr run with Mrs T this morning
Tapering innit
10 hours here. 4 on the bike, 3 run, 3 in the wet stuff.
Trying to get some run speed back ahead of first race, aquathlon in a couple of weeks. Itâs not coming back willingly.
Swimming going ok though, timed 1000 after work last night in 16m28 and there was a little more in the tank. Would be nice to see a 15.xx before race day.
Set my hip back a little on the TT bike on Tuesday, it has been aching since , going to back off the bike and concentrate more on swimming next week I think.
Reckon it will take 35-36 minutes in the aquathlon to be in with a chance of an envelope for M40+ so thatâs the goal.
I wanted to get a 20km or so in this weekend but after Fridayâs injury, Iâm taking it very easily. Some floor work in the gym tomorrow and maybe an 8km tester mid week
FFS.
Woke up with the worst cold/virus since I had Covid, for the first time, (two weeks before Manchester Marathon 2023, double jabbed) all that training and no event, took me all summer to recover.
Anyway, out of breath just walking down stairs, plan was 20km easy run, 60 minute easy bike and a 1- 1.5 km swim, none of it happened.
I also burnt tea, pre boiling the roast.
Busy start to rhe week but finally got going on Thurs.
Have managed to get 47kms in over 4.5 hrs running every day since Thurs. Nothing too silly, but did manage a tasty hill rep session in the storm this evening.
Was about 800m of elevation over 8km running. Up and down Salcombe Hill steps. Cheery steps that @FatPom will know well!
Wind was absolutely howling onshore. Sea was whipped into a frenzy. Chucking down with rain. Best thing of all was that, not even for a second did I consider not going.
That means my mind is back in a really motivated frame. Iâm starting to feel stronger already - just wish I had another 4 weeks. But I donât.
Iâm happy to settle with starting to feel stronger but, more importantly, Iâm fully committed mentally for Friday. I am raring to get on that suffer bus and see how how long I can hang on for.
About 10 hours for me this week but nearly 2/3rds was cycling, biggest week of cycling for over a year but mostly because of the long ride yesterday.
Eased back on the running after last weekâs half and then just felt my leg when doing the reps on Friday, did an easy 8K today which was alright but a bit tight at the end so will get the roller out. About 26K for the week. But Iâm supposed to be doing a 25K trail race next Sunday, wonât risk it if it doesnât feel right.
Little bit more swimming but not much more than maintenance.
Still, generally feel alright which is positive. Would like the race a bit quicker now that itâs getting cold though.
My therapist said I was to erase that from my mind if I wanted the voices to stop.
You sound in a good place mate, is that it now for you?
Iâll just see how I feel. Probs go out if the boys are running on Tues. If I do I guess Iâll take Wed and Thurs off.
I need to download the new course, job for tomorrow.
I have downloaded
Most of the kit is laid out
Feeling like I am almost ready
Went rock climbing yesterday at my local gym. Was seconding all the difficult grades though, due to my head (vertigo). Anyway, managed to climb 6b, 6b+ and a 6c+ with one break. Iâll take that after my long break. Might meet my goal of 7a by the end of the year yetâŚwill have to avoid those mini-stollen thoughđ
Will go for a run again tomorrow and hopefully not feel queasy/dizzy
I completely agree! Itâs essential to back up discussions with practical training to ensure everyone is equipped and confident to perform their tasks effectively.
I also agree
Yeah, for real. Gotta train like weâre goinâ straight into the deep end. No half-steppinâ, we goinâ beast mode every time. Letâs get it!
Get those Goosebumps every time, engage Sicko Mode, rocket into Astro World, then climb into your brown Mansory GL63
Whereâs your TT bike, though?
Avatar looks a bit different, too
not so sure with that shade with those wheelsâŚmuch prefer british beigeâŚ
Howâs it going Travis. I bumped into your sister the other week; congratulations on becoming an uncle. Howâs life in Tashkent?
Thatâs more like hearing aid beige, aka the colour of most BMW interiors

i should receive mine as a retirement presentâŚ
I approve of the profile picture, brother.
