Training - What Training?!

Coffee and cake with each photo?

Sex trafficking has cycle to work benefits? Confusing.

Squeezed in 1500m didn’t really enjoy it tbh.

Hopefully do the triple tomorrow.

Bumped into an occasional training buddy yesterday. Was planning on having an easy day, but he mentioned that he was planning a ride later around sundown when it would be a but cooler. So I said yeah, sure, I’d tag along, picturing a pleasant evening ramble perhaps.

Big mistake. Turns out he had planned a 65km smashfest, there were 3 of us & we basically TTT’d the whole way. I was hanging on for grim life, particularly as I took my commuter roadie & 1 of the other guys had full TT setup, he even had a disc wheel.

Was concentrating just to stay on the back & any brief turns I did on the front pushed it up to 270W+, then had to try hard not to get dropped immediately after. Actually in the end I did get dropped about 5km from home and limped back to the car park by myself, profoundly regretting life choices.

Knacked this morning but guess it’s all good training

Got out for a nice 42km chilled ride in the glorious Devon sunshine this morning with a mate. Lots of catching up. Easy ride.

Back before 8 so asked the eldest if she wanted to go out for a ride as the roads were still quiet - as she’d been asking to do longer rides.

Chaos ensued! :joy:

Clipped from my strava…

4hr 70km gravel ride. 1147m elevation. Which is mammoth for me!

Couldn’t do the original route, due to a wildfire :fire:

@Doka - The Goyt looked a bit different today

When you said didn’t want to cut it short, I assumed you meant the chain, snd I’m still wandering why not?

Didn’t have any tools or spares with me. Not that I’d even know how to reconnect a chain without a quick link!

1km on/off Fartlek, no target paces just on (whatever) - off (easy)

Ive had enough of set target ranges, this was just fun after marathon training run.

It really was fun, loved it, good for the mind, soul, body.

Ended up being a good workout.
