Training - What Training?!

Impromptu family sportive this afternoon, 3 generations were represented and we ended up doing 62km over the Somerset Levels.

It was definitely not @Poet compliant as we stopped multiple times including for a pint at the Duke of York in Barrington and for ice-creams at the Coop in South Petherton, not to mention a stop for junior #3 to remove his boxers behind a hedge because they were chaffing (I know, I know, but you can only explain these things so many times). Plus some walking might or might not have occured climbing out of Montecute. Average pace 17kmh & 90W :see_no_evil_monkey: but Dad’s longest ride for a good few years & he enjoyed it.

Was feeling sluggish but forced myself out for some running reps, probably 14c cooler than when I ran on Thursday last week, and a small shower.

Managed 3 * 2k and 2 * 1k just under 4:30k pace so about what I aimed for.

Then tried a swim which was terrible!

Haha, funny thing is that when I edit it, it shows what I entered and should be, I’ve put spaces in to show I’ve not been to an anti-aging clinic

Got my butt out of bed for a run before Mrs GB went to work. Perfect running weather this morning. Also accidentally discovered a perfect 10km loop from the house.

For some reason that has made me very tired, easy at the time but tired now. That might be it for the day. We’ll see later.
