Training - What Training?!

:man_biking: Supra-threshold 60’ - 7x 3’

:man_running: 6km with strides and 1km Threshold.

Run was meant to be a longer session but job stress.

I meant soon no job, therefore no job stress. Same thing but slightly different.

Jumped on a pacer ride up ADZ tonight despite feeling sluggish, legs were not happy at first but it was straight into the effort as I joined just at the bottom so no warmup.

Looks like I sneaked a long 55, that’s a decent start but not sure I’d be running fast in the duathlon in August :joy:

I can hopefully use the avatar for a few more efforts up it and to get some splits for the real ride.

First time out on a run in shorts and a Tee. Sweating buckets
:man_running: 6km easy… a bit ill.

Not recovered from yesterdays bike VO2max session. Illness explains that, I think. (and worry)

:man_biking: 2hr steady / easy endurance

Not sure I will get anything else done, currently waiting at the dentist. Depends if the work leads to a numb mouth, pain and stress.

Treadmill intervals.

Legs a bit heavy, so the longer intervals made way for some short, sharp stuff.

6 x 4 mins at 10km pace
8 x 40:20s at faster than 5km pace

Being somewhere warm and by the sea, I have been absolutely loving running and have managed to get out every day for the last week, some days twice.

Have covered 129km on foot in the last 7 days & may go for a 2nd little jog later too if the legs are up for it. It’s just such a pleasure with the smells, the warm air, pelicans hunting, loads of people out enjoying themselves and a fair few other runners and cyclists too.

It’s very humid, Strava says 88% humidity at 26C this morning, and I am sweating buckets so have slowed things right down often to around 6 minutes per km. Perhaps because of this legs don’t feel too battered. Got some choice blisters though.

Back on track for goal of 1 hour exercise per day in 2026: We are 57 days in by my reckoning, and as of this morning Strava is logging exactly 57 hours.

Lets not mention the alcohol goal, that’s not going so well :see_no_evil_monkey:

Today’s run looked nice, not envious in the slightest as I head upstairs at the gym

Having looked at the forecast I’m wondering if I should stay in Cyprus for the full 2 weeks instead of moving on! It’s in the high teens.

Ran back to the place we saw a sloth on day 2, sadly it wasn’t there today.

Bet Cyprus will fantastic - dry and warm- perfect training camp ?

I’m only there for about 4 days, doing a 10k on the Sunday.

Gets a bit cooler as I head into Europe.
