I’ve actually done a small reverse triathlon today! More a sprint than a standard, or somewhere in between.
Started with the parkrun +1k W\U
Did the 25M TT - more on that on the TT thread
Then managed 700M in the pool with some short reps
Shoulder is still tender when swimming and was a bit sore from the crappy roads I raced on, but better than it was on Monday I think, so slowly increasing it but will keep the pace V slow even by my own standards!
Felt rough again this morning and thought about a day of nothing. Got up and set off into the headwind and felt a little better so chucked in a couple of small lumps near Epping. Usual refuel stop and then considered a longer ride, but thought I’d not ruin myself more than I am, so I can do one more ride before work tomorrow as the rest of the week looks less inviting.
Feel quite lame after Funkster’s post but managed just over 10 hours this week, I’m older than him and gave blood recently
3.5 hours of running, mostly on trail which was fairly pleasing as I don’t feel crippled
5.25 cycling including the TT and did a short windy ride today
35 minutes of swimming
~1 hour of upper body cardio in place of swimming
Wasn’t quite the recovery week I had planned, mentally I’d like to go for a run this evening but physically I CBA so will have a sauna instead.
For various reasons I might be doing 4 days this week or 3.5 standard days, then away with the GF for nearly a week. I’ll get some running in but not much cycling or swimming, so will try and get the cycling at the start of this week but it could be a return to Zwift as it’s looking like a return to cooler damp weather.
Another good week, like others affected by the heat earlier in the week, the quality was pushed to the back end of the week, also missed an hour run in Tuesday, nothing to be gained by doing that.
15 hours 20 minutes,
3x swims (one OW) 1h55
2x runs 3h14
4x bike 10h11
Seasons best in the…
swim (didn’t die)
bike 3hr - 4hr power seasons bests
run 25km seasons best
Feel asleep after lunch and the bike today, so tired.
Good month as well as week, best in terms of hour since January 2024 and the same as the month before December 2023 → 66 hours and change.
Bit of a trend, good month, bad month, need follow up with a solid month in June.
tbf Feb was ok except a bit of illness and a short month, maybe it should be half a tick, April was illness, stress, work, health (teeth)
The pool was not too busy, 1km in 23:xx, bad I know, my PB is 19:xx but the best in about 2 years I think (also made an OWS without getting kicked by breast strokers over taking me.)
