I manned up and got it done, was feeling sluggish but improved as I got going. Had a couple of walk breaks to simulate a race and it was all on trail with low HR.

19k in the end, going to try and have a quick splash if I get to the pool in time.

Easy few days after today.

2 hour turbo

Low effort in all fairness

Then 18 press ups per min for 15 mins .? Which is getting near my 15 limit and certainly wasn’t easy

Few ciders now !!

Junior goes home to London tomorrow, but today he dragged me on another 15km off road run. Legs properly jiggered right now, and tomorrow night is regular running night with my friend who has expressed a desire to do 4 x 2km intervals at 5km pace with 90s rest

Strava is currently predicting 3h19 for a mara, and 19m03s for a 5km. Don’t ever plan on testing that marathon prediction but the 5km prediction is encouraging. There’s a Yeovilton summer 5km next Wednesday evening, may go for it with sub 19 push if I don’t cripple myself tomorrow night.

Literally no idea. I exercise pretty much every day, but not to the point of weirdness. Also lost my watch for about 3 weeks at one stage, so don’t think it can be continuous recorded weeks with activities :man_shrugging: :man_shrugging: Dunno :man_shrugging:

1 hour pre work run with work run club

Very pleasant

Decided to walk the stairs again today to the 9th floor - note to self for future reference, this is not a good way to cool down after a run on a warm day and you will end up sat at your desk a sweaty mess

CBA tonight, it’s been muggy today and was back at work but got in the garage for about 35 minutes easy on Zwift, then went for a short walk.

Intervals this evening, wouldn’t have bothered but it was pre-arranged with my training buddy so would have been bad form to wimp out.

4th quite hard run in 4 days and was feeling a bit stiff, but got it done, 4x2km at roughly target 5km pace, nothing popped so that’s good.

rest day tomorrow

Also got out yesterday. Really humid too!

Was quite happily trucking along the lanes but managed to resist the temptation to exploit the 90 min gap I had and stick to around 60 instead.

Trying to avoid mistakes of old and not go too crazy, too soon. I mean relatively speaking of course! :joy: :joy:

It’s so frustratingly noticeable how much slower I am vs a couple of years ago. Of course it’s to be expected and it’s just me being impatient. But it winds me up! :joy:

Feeling comfortable when running though. Bit tentative on the downhill (steep and Technical) as they still jar my back a bit. Also feel a lot stiffer after the runs than I used to. But progress. :+1:

Think it was 12.5km or so with 200m+ elevation.
