Parkrun results in. LO pulled off a PB again 6secs with a 28.58
First in JW10 again but I didnāt see any other girls there, so might have been an AG of just one. Will look later on laptop

thatās a good pace over 7km - I wouldnāt get anwhere near that time these days as age and heart issue has caught up with me. Iād probably be more 2:15 now on a good day
HR within 2 beats shows your pacing and rating was spot on, I get HR drift on the longer pieces.
I nearly didnāt do a workout at all, but with the morning off I didnāt want to waste the opportunity. Mate came over and we did ladder intervals alternating bike and rower 1ā 2ā 3ā 4ā 3ā 2ā 1ā
Paced rower @ 1:54 and bike @ 2:00 it was hard going during the middle sets but having someone else there helped when it got tough.
Had coffee and some berries then did 30min r20 easy row on my own while watching Netflix to stave off the boredom 6600mtrs.
No. I was just wanting a chilled out swim. I was on autopilot from the week before. Theyād extended the buoys. They just wouldnāt let it lie. One of the canoeists said ( after I was back on course ffs ) that theyād have to pull me from the swim. Iād only been in for ten minutes for fucks sake

Thank fuck Iām back up north next week and I can swim where the fuck I like, when the fuck I like without a twat with a paddle and fuck all else to do on a Saturday morning. And I donāt have to pay or extend any more courtesy to a bunch of smug pompous a holes
A touch of extra weight seems to be helping all metrics, except cycling!
Going to work on that next week, I watched a few coaching videos on the c2 and the back issue I had seems to have gone.
I hear ā God I hope Iām as fit as you when Iām your ageā more and more these days, I can only echo that statement.
Iāve really enjoyed the last two sessions.
Hopefully the efforts at 1:55 and below will help the longer paced ones.

Tri shorts are a must
Hoping for a really long one or two this winter.
never seen any difference with trishorts and ordinary lycras or shorts - the padding in the shorts makes no difference and isnāt underneath my sit bones so is pretty useless
I ended up with some size 14 ladies orca tri shorts, BNWT in a deal when I bought a load of stuff off a guy giving up tri.
The pads go. ā further backā ishā¦?
Tri shirts certainly more comfy for me.
