I saw on Strava that you’d done this & was a wee bit snide about the time on your last effort - sorry - I didn’t realise there was a group of you doing it. Between you there must have been a lot of experience gained :+1:… & good effort from yourself with a cold.

:joy: Don’t worry about it. Yeah, we were waiting for one of the lads quite a bit on the 6th rep. Fair play to him though, he carried on to 13 laps, and that was his first ever run through the night.

My other buddy has just completed his 18 now as well. He’s battered.

Just a whole lot of base training going on for me atm. Combination of the winter weather and my top end is still not quite right so I don’t want to push it too much.
Pre having covid I was doing about 9-10 hrs a week, I’m now around 6! I have to say, I’m kind of enjoying it! My subscription to trainingpeaks has run out but I can imagine my ā€œfitnessā€ score is falling each day!

Here’s what’s been happening here.
Run block September and October, pretty much a month off November.
Frightening how quickly Runalyze suggests fitness is lost (black line predicted VO2max) but weird that marathon shape seemed to increase, I don’t think that’s right.
November not quite as bad as it looks, I lost my watch for a bit & didn’t record some things

Ah yeah, no trainingpeaks but runalyze is happy to report my decline! You were 100% fitness in October :muscle: :battery:

Here’s mine :chart_with_downwards_trend:

Yawn. Let myself run a bit harder but still yawnathon. Not as hard as Garmin wants not as slow as 130bpm wants.

Seeing as it’s gonna Chuck it down tonight, I span up the Alpe for some Tron metres.

Managed 300m in 45mins :rofl::rofl::rofl:

HR strap was going mental - first time since I bought it - flipping between 170+ and 80bpm during the warm up. Nothing seems to fix it but it settled down eventually.

Actual peaks were 163-170bpm on the 20s repeats, will never know the average.

I’ve just a little under 6k to complete the challenge, aiming for over 200k.

Got a notification my walking + running distance is down on what it usually is.

No shit, Sherlock, it’s dark and cold and wet outside. The poor pooch only gets a 3-5km walk twice a day now :see_no_evil::cry:

Surprised my average is nearly 22km per day - there has to be some double counting here???

That’s impressive, how much do you walk with that mutt? Dog owners do seem to get their steps in :+1:

Only 2 miles / 3km (40 minutes) this morning, as it’s lashing down and dark.

When it’s lighter and warmer, we do an hour (3.4 miles / 5.5km in the morning and up to 90 minutes 5miles / 8km in the evening)

There’s a huge nature reserve and peat bogs about 1km up the road, so that’s ace in the summer, not so much in the winter!

But, like I say, I reckon that’s double counting for some activities. I’d say I walk about 9km per day on average throughout the year, then maybe 4km per day average jogging.

So I’d expect a more realistic figure to be 13km average.
