5km uphill tempo run on the treadmill.

Back out for a 7k run at 5.02s, powered by the wonders of a chicken and mayo sandwich
Well i got my tailwind on the way home. Well it was a bit more cross tail, but still rapid. Got home in my fastest ever time, but agonisingly ended up with a 29.9kph average.
Its a bit of a lottery on my route as the majority is on cycle paths with loads of crossings, gates, bridges, people, dogs etc. But I was happy with that.
Was pushing the last few kms and ended up with a nice NP of 257w for 51 mins (AP of 226 due to all the stop/start). Pleased with that.
Easy spin tomorrow, back on the dumb turbo as the Tacx has been returned to it’s owner. Then I have a tough tempo run planned with a mate on Thurs. So hoping for good legs!
Oh and also came the closest I’ve come to going over the top of a car. MFing tw@ came round a corner completely on the wrong side of the road straight at me. I swear everything went into slow mo, as I jammed on my brakes and just managed to slip around the car… Who gave me a dirty look as I slid between a wall and him, and then just drove off without a care in the world. No doubt convinced it was my fault as I’m a ‘bloody cyclist’. There’s a word for people like that.

Hard swim plus weights yesterday
Then broken sleep to get Dr Strange tickets at midnight, meant today was a big struggle and called it at 4km

Was going to do a brick but just as I got the bike it’s decided to be a thunderstorm here, so I’m laying on my bed with Henry
Only on TriTalk would “I was going to do a brick but instead I’m lying on the bed with Henry” not raise a single eyebrow ![]()
We love Henry!
4:30 wake up call.
5:00 11.5k hilly run.
To the Batcave!
Successful afternoon / early evening, nice.
I assumed it was the hoover. ![]()
That joke sucked.
I was under a lot of pressure.
Thought I’d pop in and say hello. My dad’s managed to hold on so far, so I quickly flew over to the UK last Friday and I’ve been sitting at his bedside ever since. I’ll cherish these last moments forever.
In other news, the roads around Andover are a cyclist’s nightmare, pot holes everywhere.
@funkster more pictures of Henry are very welcome!!
Glad to hear the you got to see your Dad Anna and that he knows you’re there. I’m sure it means so much to you both.
As for the roads, it’s Andover! ![]()
Physio confirmed I have plantar fasciitis
Hopefully caught it early. So gonna be adding in some extra weight sessions and cycling and off running for 2 weeks minimum. Seems to be the issue that caused my anterior tib strain 2 years ago, weak side glute muscles. So exercises for that plus calf stretching.
Thoughts with you @Annas ![]()
