I was on it for a bit but got bored of riding with only bots. Are there more routes and more people now?

Currently using MyWhoosh.

There still aren’t that many on it at the times I ride, normally before work / early morning.

There are extra routes in the standard world and they have added world routes which I think can only be rode if your schedule them as an event.

You can also upload GPX routes and ride anywhere, need to use an external route creator using something like

For example

It feels a bit OTT at times, where as Zwift you can just get on and ride without all the complex bells and whistles that can be overwhelming.

Personally I struggle with Zwift, the colours and motion (the way the camera swings around tight corners makes me feel sick at times)

First Tuesday of the month…

IndieVelo was written by two of the main Zwift developers, they parted ways and decided to do it their way. They used a pre built game engine so development is quicker and added the things they wanted for successful and fair racing. Then TP bought it

I used IndieVelo for a few months just before it turned into TPV. Coming from zwift the lack of real riders other than bots everywhere was very noticeable. It just felt pretty deserted.

I moved back to zwift soon after. I mostly do pace partner rides (and there I am complaining about bots😂) and some group rides. I never do workouts and hardly ever races as I think pushing myself in races gives me some knee issues.
