Start is similar, last year start was in Geraadsbergen in Belgium, this year start is in Roubaix in France, however the first parcours, which is 70km long ends in Geraadsbergen.
The end last year was Thesoloniki in Greece, this year the end is in Istanbul and includes around 900km in Asia
The last couple of years TCR has crossed the Balkans, however, past races have been further East, for example heading through Romania and Bulgaria
