Pretty simple right?
Every so often They get like this Bob, donât worry about them - I try not to. Once it gets to editing thread titles and posts it usually means the end of rational discussion

Oh I donât mind. Itâs @Poetâs BA I feel sorry for
What BA?
When theyâre not on some course, theyâre on a personal development day, if they donât have either of those, their child needs âjabsâ (seems like this is weekly) if itâs not that, itâs time to use up some annual leave. Or maybe a âtown hallâ or something.
Anyways, @joex sorry.
Just no training this morning and post-race blues
Iâll bite.
Your OP was unclear; you typed it like we knew the nuances of this routine, which you apparently wish to obfuscate. Youâd be better off posting here in Blackpool, and being a little less obscure. Your subseqent guarded response just increased unecessary speculation.
If youâd just asked for kit recommendations, life would have been easier. Deja vu.
Love a bit of Laurence
Better wonât have any clue if you check in for a swim/gym in the morning, leave something in the lockers and then collect it again later in the day with another trip to their pool/gym. Depending on venue, they may not even empty locked lockers overnight, but that obviously canât be guaranteed.
I am now an Everyone Active member, so this works well for me in my Buckinghamshire and Westminster haunts, makes it difficult when Iâm in Camden and elsewhere in London.
Presently looking at logistics of a luggage drop on Sunday for the Ealing half marathon, apparently the old Acton baths are still managed by EA.
The battle is fought and decided by the quartermasters, long before the shooting begins. Rommel.
Logistics matter
Meh. Psychic spies win wars.
Too busy stealing your mindâs elation, iirc.
Plan is to;
Travel
Run with gear
Swim
Change
Party
Travel
Weighed my stuff.
Pack 500g
Trousers (regular or joggers) 500g
Glasses 30g
IM tshirt 200g
IM towel 80g
Etc.
Gone with tri shorts while the weather is good to avoid trunks. Regular chinos as same weight as joggers, although tights are about 200g.
Pack today weighs about 1.5kg, no fluids or nutrition.
1 way run I assume? Hence not just leaving stuff at the pool at start/some point within run.
Think Iâd just have a long swim and keep life easier.
Fuck me. What have I stumbled into with this thread? This is about clothing choices? Whatâs wrong with taking a bag?
Itâs about the weekend movements of @joex
Which for reasons unknown, heâs chosen to obsfucate.
Iâd just sack off the pub and run instead
Or run midweek early doors.
Anyways.
Added 500ml of coke to get to 2kg, pack (IM Portugal â22) moves a bit but no neck sores this time. 15km, got caught up in human traffic at the end, otherwise on pace.
Quick swim (700m) was nice and the showers even nicer, so feeling clean with my vegan sausage role and chai latte now
Spare socks might be an idea. Definitely need more kit when itâs cold and rainy though
I know, number 1.
Part of my still thinks itâs some sort of spoof that I donât quite âgetâ.
But no. I genuinely think itâs a thread about kit admin.
Bit chilly now, starting to freeze. Only lightweight jacket I have is a ten quid rain thing, which seems a bit daft when itâs dry but might bring it next week.
I wouldnât class 15km as a long run. More like a medium one. Theyâre what, like 70-90 minutes, tops.
Iâm now even more intrigued as to why this run is required to be sandwiched into what appears to a âchillâ day.
But also why do it if it causes so much discomfort
Dude -you know a chai latte is about 45g sugar per serving, right?
And a vegan sausage roll has around 8g saturated fat?
Neither are great for blood pressure
How did that work out for him? has he got any statues or roads and stuff named after him?
