Out of interest, what’s the practical benefits to someone making use of this? Is appears to be financial? Does your standard membership include all your training sessions, which ends up being quite a lot per month or something, and therefore become prohibitive if you can’t do much at a given point in time?

I see the direct link to women and periods of maternity, but isn’t that equally as applicable to other members who are injury or have some other health issue ongoing? Thinking about myself, I’ve now not been to a club session since I renewed in April with my health issues. I don’t know when I will go back.

Maybe it’s the membership model of my club, but at £25 per year, I don’t really see what difference a “discount” would make. It’s not a prohibitive cost in the first place. You naturally get reduced fees if you attend fewer of the paid for sessions. Although most of the club sessions outside of swimming and Tuesday track are entirely free anyway.

Edit - I answered my own question by going to your website. £75 normal, versus £40 maternity. Obviously your membership is higher than ours, and a 46% discount is nice, but £35 doesn’t seem like it’s going to make a meaningful difference to someone who ordinarily was willing to fund a triathlon lifestyle. Maybe I’m being overly dismissive.
