Real old timers will recall doing this in about 2007 … with card mock-ups

Leave a topic long enough and, like 70s fashion, it will come round again

Haha , real old timers sometimes get a bit forgetful in their dotage (I was around back then too, but have zero memory of that :grinning:)

ps. oooh the price of fish these days etc

This is fun !

Sub nine botherers and age group medal winners giving themselves 6 and7”s, at least Geoff was right with the sandbagging, he’s not the only ten on here.

Swim I think 5 actually 4…3.5 compared to most on here ( an easy 6 in a wet suit though).

Bike indoors 7 outside 6 at best. On technical fast descents I’m into minus figures.

Run…. Going through a transition with weight loss go for 6, 7 against the 55 year olds come Sept.

Hyrox/ number circuits 9
Ability to suffer 10
Ability to prepare for big races 10
Confidence tri wise now … 3?

Best bike, bikes … 5

Rambled enough now, I should be working !

I have just thought of another two:

Sleeping: 9/10

No problems getting 9+ hours per night, every night.

and:

Early morning training: 0/10

as a result

Sleeping is a great one, I just edited my list to inlude sleep

I am not obnoxious enough to really upset people ST. It’s pretty easy to upset IMJ people, suggesting that people shouldn’t enter an IM unless they know they can swim 3.8k is normally enough

Really?

Ten is a perfect score, when rated out of ten.
Are you perfect at swimming?

Anyways, here’s mine, thanks to Brendan Sullivan :joy:

Swim: 7/7
Bike: 3/7
Run: 2/7

Being obtuse: 5/7

5/7 is a perfect score. Seven is roughly equivalent to the integer 5. But is not quite the same as five, ergo, not as perfect.

Example;
There are five days in a week. Hence, I exercise every day of the week.

Sullivan’s Scale is brilliant.
