Triverest - Triathlon over the elevation of Everest

Makes me feel better about the regular sausage roll stops at the top of Box Hill. That’s the same thing right?

Good luck - sounds like an epic day out. The bike looks mental.

Wow. Good luck Matt.

Thanks for the replies

Garmin is F****d so might never get onto the virtual world.

Bike looks awesome

All prepped and ready to go

Had a swim in the lake. First climb, Glaubenberg is the other side of the lake… looks F’ing massive (1500m approx). Look the other direction and I can see Pilatus and 1800m of running fun
Bike looks stunning

Mad people looking chilled out at the most laid back briefing ever

Bed for the night thanks to swiss army

Good luck race well

Have fun Matt! Looks/sounds like it will be a great day.

Is anyone else ‘dot watching’ or is it just me?

good man. thanks

Yep, one of the first things I did. Slightly sad to have no concept of where he is in terms of progression through the day. I guess you could try and mesh it with the course map

I just thought the same - no context is there

He seems to be near the front though

I’ve got that horrible sense of “I wish it was me out there”, along with “thank god, it’s not me suffering…”

Oh I’m sure he’s in his element. On the bike reeling in those carrots up ahead.

I’m definitely jealous - can only imagine some of the scenery he’s got right now! It’s pissed it down in Cornwall since we arrived last night :upside_down_face::laughing:

The road he’s on is called Panoramastrasse!

Looks like he might have a decent little group with him… they appear to be making good progress against the rest of the field, but staying reasonably together.

I imagine position won’t be clear until the run.

Hopefully Matt remembers to eat real food!

Wow that was amazing. I finished 7th overall in 19h50m

Love the comments… 2/3 bike leg pissing with rain. Kept effort pretty easy

Had a brilliant run and passed loads of people

Food and hydration went really well, I ate so many crisps and cakes and boiled potatoes dipped in salt (amazing discovery). At end i felt tired but no bonk

I’ve discovered that there is a whole ultra sub culture, and I rather like it
