Bloody hell, really. At least with all the sandbagging I’ll be back home by 11.00
Go Middlenetherwallop Family 5km fun run
Put on every item of IM clothing you own
I see what you did there
Which bag holds most sand?
Process of elimination
It can’t be the Alpe de Huez finisher T because @Doonhamer might trump it by showing up with his winners medallion or summut.
The m dot Ts belong in a museum
The Budapest bag is frankly falling to bits after over a decade of being waved around with my swim kit in at the club sess
So it’s the immortal finisher T. Good ruse this, I only did the sprint but the finisher T is the same as for those who did the full distance
I’m rocking Race to the King shirt at Parkrun today and I’m walking it
The trick is to inverse the distance
Longleat purely for rarity value
Unfortunately, I didn’t, thought I’d missed something and went back for a second look.
FFS!
@fruit_thief - Perhaps you can find a TrottersTalk t-shirt in time?
This happened to me with the 4% too. Initially I think it was a blister but has evolved into a bit of a bruise. Was painful walking on it Tuesday but fine now
Just had my best nights sleep in 10 months
Thought it looked a bit glum out…but blimey it’s humid already.
Right, best of luck sandbaggers. Been looking forward to this race for ages, shame I won’t be there but as others have said I can’t wait for the post race swagger and excuses!!
Have a safe and strong one all, go crush some grapes!!
Do you know what the lake looks like?
Misty? Low?
Anywho…
20min 11km FKW shakedown ride. An easy 225W at 144bpm average, working up to race power and race HR (255W / 155bpm) by the end
Quick change and out for a jog to test out the Alpha’s
Straight up to race HR of 155bpm, pace was 4:04/km
Think I’ve made the correct trainer choice.
Meta’s were 4:14/km for the same HR, different route, 7km jog.
Next% were 4:15/km for the same HR, same route. 2km brick.
I know not all things are equal, but pretty pleased
Cant believe it’s actually shaping up to be a hot race
The way things should be
None of this British Tri scene rain and arm warmers malarkey.
I’m yet to get out of bed, haven’t started packing and not planning a shakedown ride. Should probably look at race briefing too
Will start warming up the wax pot soon…
Anyone staying in the race field tonight that can store another bike?
Not essential but if the field isn’t accessible after 6pm, would make my morning van logistics much easier
=
Sure I can manage that.
