I’m all good, but then I didn’t wreck my legs on the run. Will start again tomorrow.
I thought your position looked good. There were some really good, TT like positions but I think they take some working towards without losing power output.
err triafferletes don’t kick do they?
I had yesterday off myself but more because work denied my lunchtime swim and I didn’t have time in the evening. Turbo and swim for me today.
My right quad is loosening off now, and not causing me too much stress when walking. Calf is still painful especially after it’s been still, as it loosens up a bit when I get going.
General fatigue etc, and I feel fine. But I need to get the brakes fixed in my roadie. They’re screaming like a banshee and not overly effective at the mo.
Going to take this week easy though in the heat. No pressure. Paddle boarding in Thursday evening with a couple of mates and a couple of tinnies.
My legs seem reasonable but my ribs are still sore when sneezing, stretching, laughing etc. Despite this I’m going to have to try for a short run this pm just to get my “motions” back in synch .
I’m tempted to start swimming again after reading all of this and join the smack down.
2 skins swims done so far. But then last weekend was just the warm-up, I have to swim 6K on Saturday.
Sticking my TO hat on, kids (or any non-competing persons) accompanying athletes down the finishing chute is not allowed under BTF rules (which this event was running under).
Lap 1: Head up, meercat style
lap 2: Just taken a gel - the look of utter disgust heralds what’s about to happen next…
Having had a couple of days to recover and look at the photos, I’m really glad to have done this race and to have had it to look forward to and train for over the Spring and summer. On the day the result was not quite what I hoped for, but that’s splitting hairs, half an hour here or there really doesn’t matter much in the scheme of things. I’m mainly just grateful to have the option to do this sort of thing & would not ever take it for granted. And the sunny weather was just perfect for some great memories- unbeatable conditions.
Now this race is done, I have a few non-tri things demanding a bit of attention. Will still be dipping in and out of the forum but may be a bit quieter than usual for a few weeks- no need to send out any search parties
Would love to be involved next year, but can’t see me running anytime soon. If anyone fancied setting up a relay team, I’d be up for that.
I feel such a dick now, i kept shouting at your ‘come on frodeno!’
nice position there buddy
Yeah. See what you mean, it’s like you’re slightly slanted over to one side - hard to tell from a still though
Why am I still so fu**ing slow then?!
I bought the tt bike, some nice-ish wheels. And it’s still not good enough.
Outrageous. We all know it’s impossible not to draft all the time. How dare you.
Sorry, got a bit of FB rage within me.
I was going to suggest that on a TT bike I’d have thought it’d be quite obvious if you weren’t straight unless you were only using one eye. But saying that I think your left hand is slightly higher than your right?
Are you symmetrical off it?
Yeah, I noticed that too. But I didn’t have time to tweak it. I think I could do with a whole new cockpit to be honest, as the aero bars don’t suit the position I want to be in. I’d like some with the cups to drop your elbows into properly. My shonky garmin setup needs adjusting too, as that blocked part of the aero bar, and didn’t do anything to help with comfort.
Judging by my injury history, no! I always seem to have a weak and dominant side that causes the knock on effects.
Man, I’m going to actually have to do S&C aren’t I?!
