Bike course and run at Box End is dull AF. Lake is good although can get weedy. Its very shallow as well so but if rain before hand and the temp can go from 23 to 15 in a couple of days
A duathlon?
Which of the options in the poll allows for someone else to do all the cycling for me on a tandem and then to give me a piggyback for the last 8 miles of the run?
Most, if not all, have a relay option if fitness or injury mean people can’t SBR the whole thing. Might give @Doonhamer someone to chase.
Not that shallow
Not like Cotswolds 2022 then…
There’s be no smack down where you’re involved
Maybe if @Chriswim is back, or @Matthew_Spooner comes over for it.
Pretty sure I’ve also missed off someone else who’s super rapid???
Was it the Beaver swim in a lake that was pitch black about 18” deep ?
Get Sid in the mix too
You were pretty quick in 2019! And you’re still ‘young’; just need to lose a few kgs…loads of time.
Yeah I’d really wish they’d change the run course to that route. I can only guess there is some issue with cost of permit, length of road permit required etc. I’d be much more inclined to do the race if it was.
@jgav - Outlaw half is 19th May. 20th May 2024 is a Monday (for the poll above)
I’m available to race 19th May
Do I want to do Outlaw Half?!?!
Or Southport Olympic
I agree that May is a tad early for a half.
Cots Classic looks popular. If people are willing to commit then we can get a group discount.
Outlaw Holkham is the week before on the 7th July and both about the sort of trek for me.
Holkham is the arse end of nowhere, though, isn’t it?
Great for bird watching and sailing, not much else there
Pretty much
I’d drive that but suspect it’s a massive pain for many.
Absolutely, just thought I would add it in to discuss…
… and dismiss
