yeh its good if youre over level 10, have the drops and dont have the tron yet. But if you have everything at your disposal then its venge+disk on flat and tron on bumpy. lightweight for alpe and the like finishes.
I’m glad they dropped its ability because otherwise everyone would be on it once they’d reached the lev/drops.
mw22, just seen your zwift profile. congrats on a-cat btw. your sustained effort is fine for most races, partic in the daily community. you’ll be able to hold the group drafting well. best thing you can do now is try to work your upper end power. throw in a 15sec sprint in every ride you do, try out the easy group rides where they allow everyone to do a lap sprint (spin and sprint) - these are great for developing your upper end as well as dynamics and drafting skills in the game.
Yeah I’m pretty poor at both of those aspects. Whilst I fully understand the drafting, I seem to yo yo up and down the pack way too much. Panic I’m going out the back, put the effort in, move up, hit the front without wanting to, back right off, out the back.
Not seen any of those rides - will have a gander - ta.
This kind of thing : https://www.zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=1152122
Right, read up on drops…even with the Pace Partner multiplier, I’m best just doing Road to Sky
I spent almost every session on Road to the Sky at one point! Now I barely use the thing!
Zwift Insider would have us believe the Madone is very marginally faster than the Tron on the flat & uphill Doesn’t have the bling obvs.
You have the Masochist badge?
Dunno. Tbh I don’t think I deserve it. I used to do an hour; so I didn’t go to the summit every time.
I’m mid way through Lvl 35, have the 808s, Millensteins, Tron bike and the Tarmac Pro and still have >4.5m pts
No shopping now until Lvl 37, Felt IA and disc.
I think it’s worth saying that the tron is still the fastest frame until you’re level 35 and unlock the disk wheel then pair with venge/s5/felt
You get it for 25 times. I thought there was a shirt but alas.
I haven’t done the full Ven Top yet. I assume people have been Everesting that? I might have an Everesting attempt after over winter.
Ven Top is dull AF… I’d much rather do the Alp.
You also might not get the full freewheel advantage on Ven Top - should you fully wish to utilise the indoor everesting advantages and have a shower etc whilst your avatar descends the alp
Good to know, thanks
Really need to get back on the pedals but marathon is taking priority at the moment.
New pair of 808s on my steed for this afternoon, might as well wait 2 levels for the frame change
Up the Epic KOM then radio tower, managed to squeeze out a 100kph descent on TT bike with 808s. I already had the 100kph badge, but had forgotten how hard it is to hit 100
My first Boost mode race, ZHQ FutureWorks Crit City Race
Probably not the most sensible thing I have ever done, given yesterday’s run. However, pretty pleased, it didn’t feel too bad, I managed to keep up with the lead group.
No problem charging the boost, even though I takes some power away I was still able to stay with the group. I got the strategy wrong using the boost, The others used their first boost at the top of the cobble climb and the second boost in the last 200 to the line, while I used both Boosts approaching the line, but I was too far back by then. Still 4th pace is an OK result
Guy who won weighs 53kg and did 12.5w/kg on the sprint… yea right I can believe that
Does that mean Cat B’s like me have to let you take the front in the TTT?
HAHAHAHAHA
I mean if that doesn’t show how flawed the category system is.
So just to be clear… “no”
How long is “the sprint”?
Is it? Whenever I look at the Zwift Insider articles, it always has the Tron well down the list, below the likes of the Madone (flat/rolling), or the Tarmac Pro (hills). I have uphill covered with the Enve 3.4/Tarmac Pro; but as you say, having to wait for L35 now to spend my drops on the fastest combo for flat/rolling.
