There’s some mint races from 3pm tomorrow
Did Casse Pattes tonight with zero issues. Had my iphone streamimg to my BT speaker for Spotify, had my old Android (no sim) connected to the app and AppleTV running Zwift.
Working exactly as it should. I have no idea what was going on yesterday?
Happy with London at 12.05 too.
Eugh that chase race was tough.
Really helped by a brief drop out 5km in… only dropped me to zero watts for a second or so - but enough to spit me out the back. Burnt a match or 2 getting back on.
Volcano climb was just horrific - started gasping about 3/4 of the way up and just couldnt hold the wheels.
Cruised back down - knew I couldnt catch the 1 ahead so settled on a sprint with the 1 who caught me coming down.
He went early at about 600metres… had his wheel… he picked it up… timed it perfectly - or so I thought as despite me also going faster and faster I just ran out of road.
Then check results and see a TriTalker just ahead of me … god damn it @stenard
8th outta 8… ffs
40 minutes steady with bacon rolls for me.
Reached level 23 and got some gloves, happy days
Was planning on joining that but my wife had her work Xmas drinks this evening. Muggins here got lumped with putting both boys to bed
Zoom drinks or real life, actual meeting people? I remember those days.
We’re just organising our builder’s Friday replacement. Fire and a few beers down the beach. Sounds good to me!
Zoom!
Sounded bloody cringe
That’s her second this week. She had to do an escape room on Monday…

That sounds good, shame it’s not Oz and warm.
Been trying to get my head round this points malarky. It’s a bit like trying to grab hold of a well oiled eel.
How I think it works:
RQ, the race quality score is calculated from the 5 best ranked riders in the field, as long as they finish in the top 10. It’s actually 90% of their average rank score.
So using an example of a race between all 29 ZwiftPower Tritalkers:
The RQ would be based on the rankings of Daz, Matt, Jeff, Mike and Chris - assuming they all finished on the top 10. It would be 257.
257 would be the best score possible in this race, it would be the winner’s score.
Then there is the points per place score PPP. The formula is explained in the FAQ and depends on RQ, the average rank of all finishers, and the number of finishers.
In this example PPP is 17
So first place gets 257, second place gets 274, and so on all the way up to 19th place who gets 585.
20th to 29th would have scores greater than 600, so don’t get any glory.
Clear as mud eh?
Just PLF, that’s easier
Although that was a good explanation, I think you need to be a brain surgeon or rocket scientist
I rode some shite flat thing with a few sprints and some balloons, not sure the point of it all, didn’t even get to test my code that limited all the steep stuff as there was no steep stuff. However the code worked pretty well such that I could ride pretty comfortably throughout all the grades I had, although maxed out at 5% visual zwift size.
230odd watts for 20 minutes.
I tried to sprint against the “group” I was in after half an hour or so, and massive calf cramp, and that was the end of the ride. So bike unfit, well so unfit in total in fact.
Right, entered 12:05 London, probably 60:40 I’ll make it (on a ‘no warm up’ basis unless meeting ends super early) with a back up entry into 12:30 Crit in case of overrun.
Okay. And @jorgan and @gingerbongo
I’m in for 1205 London
Will try & join in the “fun” at 12.05
I have a Strategic CatMan presentation to a cohort of DD’s at 1.00. With the expected post pres grilling, I should be free about Sunday afternoon.
I’m out … see Rant Thread
Glad I’m not your cat today…bad luck.
It’s deffo one of those days @TROSaracen!
Trying to work with a pumped up 2yo isn’t exactly helping my cortisol levels!
Think I need some meditation and whale music at lunchtime!

Saw a sudden gap in my calendar and junped on the treadmill for a 10k race, but lack of prep and hurry - I ballsed up and went out considerably faster than planned (0.3kph too fast), pulled the plug at 3.5k jogged then picked it up to the 5k mark. 🤦🏻
I wish everything running just used a single unit of measurement!
