Well you lasted longer than me! I lost touch around 4 laps after the bumps. I was a bit out of kilter too, as the resistance cable in my magnetic trainer seems to have ‘reset’ itself to something quite unfamiliar.
That’s the first crit I’ve done in ages; not a good course for me… especially the reverse version like that.
I have been riding the EVO club group rides early mornings but hard rides this morning was 10 mins warm up then an hour of 30 second over/unders. Under at 3w/kg over at 4.5,5 or 5.5. Head went at 55 mins as I had convinced myself that there must be a cooling down but no picked up with a few 6’s.
Not a lot of need for 5+ W/kg on a long distance race but absolutely loved it!
I have to agree with you as I hate the rollers at the start of the lap, I was the dick at the front sprinting for the jerseys what started the breakaways. It was the first race in a week for me so keen to thrash it for 30 mins.
Not sure how much use I’ll be tonight, but I’ll aim to start at least.
Felt really weird after my run and lunch yesterday. Came over all nauseous and a bit dizzy. Was on a conference call at 2 (listening, not participating) and was struggling to pay any attention and just felt weird. Hard to describe. So I lay down on the bedroom floor to see if that eased it, listening in on my headphones.
Luckily had the foresight to set an alarm on my watch as I next thing I know it’s buzzing at 15.05 and time for school pick up!
Felt rough for another hour or so, then perked up. Then felt rough again so went to bed at 8.30 but couldn’t sleep until at least 10, which is later than normal, despite feeling exhausted. Very weird.
Also had over the top aches and pains in odd places in my legs after the run. I know I went hard on Tues on zwift, so was expecting some rollover fatigue. But ‘something’ isn’t right.
Going to give all my muscles a crack on the massage gun at lunch see if that helps.
Just kidding hope you feel up to it GB
I felt a bit rough earlier this week too for some reason, took a couple of days off exercise, am feeling much better now.
