Yeah, the Rapha Rising stage only went 2/3rds of the way up and it was horrible. At least with the Alpe you get to break it down into the segments. The Ventoux climb just goes on and on.
Total misery isn’t it, and none of the scenery reminded me of the route IRL, or at least the one I think it is

That is eight weeks of training.
Thanks mate, yes we have the BL13 WattBombs through to the Playoffs against the other 15 league A1 winners. Playoffs are two races - TTT on Tue, and points the Sat after (Legends and Lava course). We have a roster of 10 guys to choose from, so a stronger position than last series when we were a man short for one race.
25W FTP increase in one event, not sandbagging at all previously
I know we all work differently, but it does seem odd that he’s managed to dig deeper on what ultimately would have been like an ITT up a mountain rather than trying to stay with a group in a bunch race

Failed IMUK
Did Outlaw and didn’t achieve
Fell into a funk
Had my hand operated on.
No training for three weeks
Started again and immediately fell over and bust my ankle
Had an overall crap time until January
Put on 10kg since March 2020
So started a proper plan with my IRL mate
Set my old FTP during an iTT too (ZESP TT on Tempus Fugit) like I say, I perform better at 20 minutes constant than ramp tests.
I was racing my IRL mate. As he’d done his FTP before me and text me his results. As soon as I saw >300W was pretty easy, I just focussed on keeping it at 310W for as long as possible.
Also…I only hit 162bpm, so could’ve probably done more!
I’ve just hopped on La Guardia 4.4km sprint race and scored 330pts coming in 9th.
I’m going again at 1545, too.
Like I’ve always said, it all about IRL for me.
Got an afternoon off Friday to ride the closed to motorist SNAKE PASS
Then 100km Saturday and club ride Sunday.
If I can hold 290W for the local 10s, I’ll be setting PBS all over the place
