Virtual Zwift Rides

I knew that race absolutely wouldn’t be for me with climbing and gravel so decided to rest the legs for race 4 in the hope others would be smashed by then, turns out they weren’t

Sat in a 100km group ride today. 2.5 hours flew by, quite surprised really.

Went up to lvl42 and bought the DT Swiss disc wheel

Am I right in thinking that the Venge S-Works and the DT Swiss disc are the fastest for flat/rolling?

Finally completed the mega pretzel- that is 4 hours I will not get back. Just have the Uber Pretzel and PRL routes left.

How do you get away with spending your Saturday doing 4 Zwift races?!

Was only an hour for all 4 + a warm up.

All around 5k in length. Good mini series.

That Omnium earlier in the year… Now that took up the entire weekend. Was also v. Good tho

Ah right! Novel, but sounds good. Are they doing any more of them?

Yeah he was still asking for feedback yesterday. General consensus was make it a monthly event to keep the numbers high. I had 90-100+ in each race.

Can’t see anything for next week yet.

@Jorgan it’s been confirmed there’s at least 2 more series over the next couple of Saturdays.
Might continue every week…but plenty of points available short term.

Saturday’s race selection.

Race 1: Queen’s Highway (1 lap)
A pitchy little loop, with a drawn-out final sprint that’s slightly uphill.
Powerup: Draft Boost

Race 2: The 6 Train (1 Lap)
One quick clockwise loop of Central Park’s inner roads.
Powerup: Feather

Race 3: Richmond UCI Reverse (4km)
Start with a descent, then a longish climb. then it’s a quick descent into a really steep, short kicker (20%+!). then descend Libby’s cobbles and end on the paved, straight downhill that follows.
Powerup: Invisibility (Ghost) x2

Race 4: Jungle Circuit Reverse (6.3km)
This mostly downhill race covers just the lead-in of the Jungle Circuit Reverse route, which includes the rope bridge. Race ends at the Jungle banner.
Powerup: none

F**k it. I’m going to jump on Zwift today, try to force myself to at least begin climbing out of this hole i’ve dug myself.

iPad typically on zero battery, so that’s on charge. Should be auto updating, so hoping there aren’t like 10 updates in the queue! Need to go dig the turbo out, change the skewer on the bike, fit it, dig the fan out and mv stuff out of the way. That’s gonna be about an hour’s worth of work! haha.

There was a big update last week so I’d get that downloading.

Probably worth starting with tempus fugit :joy:

That’s what I did last night - 45 min session.

3 weeks to ZRL and I need to find some form and get back to close to the 3.1w/kg top of C to be competitive with my tri club team.

Yeah big update now trying to go through on an ipad with 8% battery. So it may not even last the whole race! haha. That thing charges so ridiculously slowly.

I’ve chosen a nice easy starter for 6 … Bologna Time Trial! haha

Yes - thats the way.
I went straight back to a race; then hit those 4 races in an hour. Who needs time to settle in.

You might want a bucket whilst your getting everything ready :face_vomiting:
