Another tip, the effectiveness of the fan is significantly improved if you position it from the side instead of the front. Lifted up a bit too if possible.

Also, not my tip!
Someone me mentioned it pages ago.

I had it on setting 1 today and it was dreamy.
May attempt the Alpe and stick it on setting 2 :scream:

Another thing I found was leaving enough space behind it, so it can draw the air through. Defo makes a difference.

Oi no riff raff over here thanks

Lutscher (CW) and Watopia Figure 8 reverse ticked off tonight so just the CCW lollipop to complete Innsbruck. Annoying that it doesn’t come back on for another 10 days. Short NYC one to do tomorrow then that’ll be that complete. Think I’ve settled on Four Horseman for Sunday’s ride, hit the alpe a little bit harder to save some time and chill on the way back down

Can you arrange a meetup that only you attend?!

Ooh I don’t know, I assumed you could only arrange them for open worlds but I’ll try it. Don’t mind waiting I suppose - plenty to do between now and then

I did Sand & Sequoias after my failed bike ride this afternoon.

You have to invite one other. Just stick a friend down you know hardly ever Zwifts so they don’t know about it. I like the new ‘hide others’ feature on meet-ups so the world just has you and your meet-up buddies. Less chance getting lost, although you do lose out on draft with not using ‘stay together’.

A few things I learned about meet-ups yesterday:

If you suffer a drop out on a “no drop” ride, you still get dropped (I was over a minute off the back yesterday)

If your laptop crashes and you need to reboot Zwift, you cannot rejoin the meet-up, even though it’s just your buddies.

You cannot find them on the current users list, if it’s a “just us only” ride

I thought you were in IT?!

Back end!!!

I think this needs moving to the rant thread?

Yes you still get dropped even with the elastic (no drop) there if you fall back too far either by going too slow or stopping. I think it’s around 500m that the no-drop kicks again and your avatar will shoot 50km+ to meet the group.
I had a drop-out on a long meet up a few weeks ago. I lost about 4mins. But as it was looped I just found some decent riders to draft, and looked out for either the icons on map, or the green highlighted riders (right screen) to catch back up. I reached the 500m to group on way up box hill so I got the 50kmh shoot up the hill, which meant a crazy kom time.

My 15 year old Computrainer with its crappy stereo lead doesn’t seem so outdated with all these people getting drop outs…
