Virtual Zwift Rides

18:00 on everyone’s favourite TT

Used the Cadex, doesn’t seem like the best option?

I guess my last 2 races are the ‘problem’. I need to add more weight or do flatter courses

How long do I have to wait to get down graded again if I can keep it below 4.2w/kg?

Sure it’s 90 days still.
More than likely they’ll implement the new scoring system, again.
Whether they use it another matter.

Yeah that 4.4 will definitely not help. Proper A numbers

But oddly not getting me on many B podiums, and got evicerated today on Rolling Highlands in Cat A (was dropped on first lap)… Here are the related placings:

It is completely flawed. Raw watts is all that matters to be competitive and yet we are categorised by 20/5 Min wkg… Which don’t win anything unless it’s going vertical.

The zwiftracingapp categories are so far ahead.

I’m also 3/Emerald. But never gone near Ruby like yourself.
Jeff’s a 4/Sapphire. But mostly gets beat up in A.

Can’t find @r0bh , bet he’s high sapphire, low emerald.

It’s so much more consistent with actual results.

Edit. Found Rob. Smack in middle of level 4.
Who else is racing. Hillwall also having fun A races, with solid tempo numbers but unlikely to compete with them I’d guess emerald.
Off to check…
And he’s mid sapphire. So should be racing Rob!!!

If it is skewed to recent results I’ll fall down a bit as I’ve only done a few races since October, I’m expecting most of my tiny points to go soon.

Combo of results and integration of some power metrics.
But every time I compare to others I race with, it seems pretty accurate. Especially within my team.

I feel your pain, I spend a bit of a ZRL race worrying about getting upgraded to A. I can hang with the front of B no problem but am crap at sprinting to win races.

I get totally destroyed in A as I don’t have the one minute power to hang on and it just doesn’t become enjoyable.

Some decent numbers there @Jorgan, in those last 2 races especially :muscle:

I went up to Cat A when I hit > 4.3 W/kg for 20 minutes (actually did 4.6W/kg). I didn’t manage this again and then dropped back down to Cat B after 90 days. Dunno which stars aligned in the 4.6W/kg race as I was not able to reproduce this effort level again - although I did treat that particular race as a 20 min TT

Done the first couple of the Zwift Academy workouts now. Brutal, worse than racing :astonished: And I’m only doing the short versions (40-45 mins) rather than the full fat ones (70+ mins).

Happened last time when I was almost 50.
Already heard rumours. Suspect this year they’ll extend it

Do your XPs keep piling up so if they introduce new levels 6 months down the line you can h go o straight in at level 61 or whatever?

or maybe it’s like an odometer. All the way back to zero, have to re-earn the Tron and the disc wheel etc

Yeah they bank it in the background.

Normally they then reward anyone with banked xp, double xp till you’ve caught up with your reserve.

Which is kinda silly, cause all those at the top end. Just get up the next limit faster than the majority who are nowhere near it.

Ah OK, so your XPs will be frozen at 750,000 until the new levels arrive and then you start counting again at double speed?

I think it still accumulates, but I can’t explain it
