Virtual Zwift Rides

Another 5v5 race. Paris
Second time we’ve done this course and I really hate it. The drag seems to favour raw watts more than wkg.
Second lap up and I was hanging… Second lap down gapped.
Got back on with a team mate. Tried to recover.

Had ditched 2 of their team but we couldn’t cover the final attack as one went clear with 2km to go. Sprint went late and I was first to go and somehow just held it to the line

That’s 8 races, second or first
Not quite sure what’s going off :joy:

What’s going on Mike! You’ll be head hunted the way you’re going!

Good luck @Jorgan

Nothing dodgy at all with those 2 riders numbers!

That is FREAKY…I was just this moment also looking at that list! Yeah 7.1/kg. Even my 4.9 is over inflated due to some glitch on a single ride.

Both with wheel on trainers; look highly accurate :face_with_raised_eyebrow:

As bad as cat B is for sandbagging, cat A certainly has its own set of problems.

Yeah. Ultimately just have to keep in mind it’s only a ‘game’ and it’s not life & death

That was even more ridiculous than I thought it was going to be. I was going to have a go at this tomorrow too.
I know its a game; but does ruin the fun element.

No surprise Mr fake 7.1wkg rode away with it. Steering seemed to play a huge part on that descent too.

You did well to get back on.

I was caught alone, then Buster +1 caught me and dragged me back on. I saw your message pop-up but didn’t see you in the race? (or in B results?). I was trying to get into the tuck on that descent but it wouldn’t let me; hence that person moaning about my erratic cadence I presume.

End of lap 2 I was pooped, switched-off momentarily and got dropped. Hey ho.

Was watching my team mate, just went into the pen to make it easier to view.

I cant go in Cat B anymore :unamused:

Is it 4.2/kg now for A? I’m surprised I don’t get called out for my HR every event tbh; today Av was 79 max 132  Another reason my cadance varies is I’m jiggling my OHR around in an attempt to get the bloody thing to work properly. When I run, most of the time it over-reads massively :man_shrugging:

@gingerbongo did you buy one of those coospo HRMs? Any good? I’ve been watching one on eBay forever for 30 quid.

No-one can see in game HR unless got sauce up and even then it doesn’t flag too much.

No I got stung on 5 min power. I think I managed 5.19 on a breakaway in a race, and I think for me the threshold wouldve been 5.13.

I had quite been enjoying the A races… I suspect that might change tomorrow if I experience anything like that tho.

The Magene HRM is really good. Gave up on tickrs, got through far too many

coospo less than £30 on amazon at the moment. I have one, does the job, only bad thing it has a habit of staying connected and running the battery down.

Seems they do an armband now too. No idea how good that is.

Yeah i bought one. Was fine for the first however long I’ve had it (I’ll look it up). Now it works most of the time but has a few wobbly days. Could be the battery to be fair, but I’m trying to push as long as possible before opening up the battery chamber as I think that’s been a common failure point in the past

But for the price, it’s lasting easily as long as my garmin and wahoo ones, at half the price. :+1:

Just seen there is a newer version that is rechargeable.

Yes I had a pile of useless Tickrs at one point; they’re made of wet KitKat.

Oh yes, I moved onto Wahoo after getting tired of shitty Garmin ones.

Polar didn’t used to work with Garmin watches, but I guess they can now? Polar were the gold std tbh.

Polar OH1 optical HRM is :ok_hand:

Garmin HRM Pro + or whatever it’s called has been good to me. Tickrs never lasted more than 6 months for me…game over once you’ve had to open the back to replace the battery
