So, no Bolton full IM distance in 2024, nor any LakesMan full distance ! :cry: :cry:

Two of the biggest UK IMs GONE! !:open_mouth:

But fear not ye UK ironman lovers, plans are afoot for a new big friendly ironman distance race at Windermere! !:star_struck:

(plus a Half IM (70.3) and an olympic distance too !

Flattish run but with that superb Lake District setting the bike is likely to be somewhere between Lakesman and Tenby in the amount of climb. So, itā€™ll be rewarding, scenic, but very do-able!

But what to call it - any suggestions?

Does ā€˜WinderManā€™ as a name sound daft ! :sweat_smile: or does it grab you ? :sunglasses:

The problem with either of those is they can be read as Wine-der rather then Win-der and might a competition to see who can close their car windows the quickest (assuming you have prehistoric car like mine)

Unlikely, done zero training since Lanzarote.

Achilles still jippy. Can ā€œrunā€ 2 miles and then unable to walk for 3/4 days.
