Raindrops Keep Fallin’ On My Head, David/Bacharach → Manic Street Preacherds
The Help album for Warchild in 1995 was a great collection of songs that inspired me to learn songs I would never have even contemplated, here’s another:
I sang this version to all my kids when they were babies.
I’m not even going to click on it but for realz??!!!
I couldn’t resist and clicked on it, FFS! They’re not even doing it as a bit of a laugh, they really think they’re “rockers”
You’re going to hell for posting that
Hell would be someone nominating Paul Young’s cover of Love will tear us apart…
Pet Shop Boys Always on my Mind is a great cover.
I agree that a good cover has to go in a different direction to the original.

Surely Suspicious Minds, no?
Oh my God I googled “terrible cover versions”:
- You Shook Me All Night Long - Celine Dion and Anastacia
I am not pasting or even finding a link. That cannot be good. Celine Dion is possibly The antithesis of AC/DC. How could this happen? I actually want to cry.
OMFG.
I knew they did a second great cover but couldn’t put my finger on it
have to say that I do like the Bat For Lashes cover version of Karen Carpenter’s “We’ve Only Just Begun”
