I know. We just stopped speaking it in the house when my dad wasn’t at home. Working in the middle East not in the big house. People in the class don’t get how I don’t know much Spanish but can pronounce things properly 
We once had a French exchange student who spoke practically no English but a bit of Spanish. My dad was very quick and insistent in correcting him that we did not speak Spanish but Castellaño. He went home speaking a little more English but his Castellaño was a lot better
Season over for me. Steady one really, started with the Kona target, now deferred to 2023. Best probably 6th in AG’s at both 70.3 Staffs and full Outlaw.
TTs have been modest, loads cancelled due to roadworks/weather. Most frustrating was flying to a possible 100TT PB which got cancelled with 75 miles on the clock (accident - not mine).
Next year will be fun….aging up to M55, cracks at 70.3 Staffs, full Outlaw and finishing with 70.3 Worlds at St George.
Rest, then a long hard Winter first……
I’m a fucking cockney, I really struggle with English let alone Spanish couple of piscos though and there is no stopping me I can remember words but struggle with verb tenses, particularly the irregular ones. Send me in a shop and I’m fine as long as conversation stops at algo mas
Getting to the WC when you’re the oldest in your age group has got to be a high. Some good results there in a disrupted season.
I usually do some research to get some basic phrases going before I arrive in country but it completely slipped my mind this time, so Im baffling everyone with my peculiar brand of anglo-brazilian-portuguese-with-a-few-french-words-thrown-in Im sure it very much like real Spanish. Not that castellan basque seperatist nonsense.
Castellaño is South American Spanish
Do you mean Catalan? Castilian - is that not just Spanish spoken in central Spain etc - as opposed to Galician or Andalusian ( not to be confused also with the older Arabic ruled El Andalus which was central Spain lol ) etc… it’s all very confusing
The Catalans seem to be hogging the limelight over the Basques… ETA I think has been disbanded now. Although there are probably lots of fringe movements

It only ever really boils down to whether you use the polite usted instead of es anyway as far as I can see!
