2021 Goals

Unless I can pull off 100 miles under 24 hr in 10 days time, my 2021 goals will not be met.

Thinking of a mid entry of a sub 3.30 mara in Dec

Ditto…

I won’t race this year now.

A new challenge beckons early next year, being honest I’m bored AF with tri.

It will come back though… it’s like a four decade romance with something you love to hate.

It should that be hate to love ?

A month on from that and the season is actually getting worse! Been doing ~14k running for 5 weeks and that was bumped by one week with the fell run.

If I do start our 70.3 on Saturday I’m not sure I’m going to do the run, jumping from 5K to 21K is probably asking to aggravate it. And I really CBA to go for the Dalesman 70.3.

No more 50’s on the horizon.

On the plus side I did 20:08 at the parkrun on Saturday so should be able to get under 20 if I get the fast shoes out :joy:

Will see if I can salvage anything else or get ready for next year instead.

Well I got there.

One place off the podium, but fairly satisfied with that all things considered.

So, I managed a sub 20 parkrun this morning, I’m taking that, it might be my only positive this season :joy:

(and I only wore the flyknit’s, so maybe a few seconds more if I got the good shoes out!)

I didn’t do the 70.3 though, but I’m thinking of doing the Dalesman quarter, it’s not quite the correct Olympic distances but will work out similar with a shorter swim but longer bike.

Well done on the sub 20, not easy as we get older is it.

25% race…?!

Lol

It’s more than I will do this year.

I’m just about holding on but it certainly hurt. The Zwifting earlier in the year and a few run sessions has left me just about able to hang on for a hard 5K. Frustrating as a month ago I did a really pleasing 13K on the trails locally. Then the injury flared up again.

After looking I think it’s full for the Dalesman, I’ve emailed to see if they have a waiting list.

I was suprised to learn that doing a part-time GCSE language course isn’t as straight forward as you might think. However, I have found and enrolled on to a course :grimacing:

Pa iaith?

TBH I had to google but so far Korean, French and Welsh (like that’s a real language :face_with_raised_eyebrow:) but I will be studying Spanish as despite being the first language I spoke it is embarrassingly bad. Sorry it is somewhere way up there :point_up_2:

Good moaning! I was pissing by the door, when I heard two shats. You are holding in your hand a smoking goon; you are clearly the guilty potty.
