Cheers Guys, it was an incredible event. I’d recommend it.
You’re all quite right that my wife is an absolute saint. That pontoon was exciting enough to cross during the day never mind never mind trying to take on a never ending parade of pumped up triafleeeets.
A couple more shots of the swim start so @Adam knows what to expect 
They normally put out a wee video of the event that captures the vibe pretty well. Thatcshould be coming out in a week or two.

I have entered a local sprint tri on Sunday
Looks about as grassroots as they come.
400m/22km/5km
Planning to reccy the route on Saturday, it’s a bit lumpy and the run is off road.
Question, will I look like a spanner if I pitch up on P2 with disc wheel cover? I reckon >50% of the field will be novices on MTBs
