2021 - The Weigh In Thread

Hmm, I think I need to start checking a few Zwift profiles :joy:

Luckily I’ve got no scales anymore and the gym is closed, so I’ll just show you a picture of my current status

I actually think I’ve at least stayed static over Christmas and maybe lost a bit of weight going on a visual inspection.

Hardly drank since March, and ate less junk over Christmas, coupled with Zwift and a bit of walking and weights.

Back to work on Monday so the comfort eating will probably return.

I decided yesterday to do dry January for the first time ever (not just dry January but actively abstaining from something).

I’m sat here today with a glass of red! :wine_glass: :joy:

… The bottle was open from NYE and I didn’t want it to go to waste. Mrs GB not happy though as she geared herself up for a dry month and doesn’t like red. :joy:

Have a belly, fit bit fat.

Need to get down to 12 1/4 or 12 1/2 stone. God knows what I’m on now (guess just over 13).

Don’t do it to yourself. January is shit enough!

Yeah i doubt I will…probs just cut back a tad. Its Mrs GB’s bday in 8 days and mine in 10. So clearly there’ll be some wine going down then. Not like we can go out for a meal or anything! :joy:

I like a dry January.

Done it a few times.

But between the weird timing this year (I have a long weekend off until Tuesday), the cocking weather bolloxing up my long ride plans and the cocking government dithering over whether to plunge our kids into at-home purgatory again, I’ve decided Monday is a much better start date this year…

Sorry for the language…spent afternoon watching old top gear with the kids and in my head I’m now talking like James May… Cocking hell.

01/01/21 – 12 st 13.6 lbs / 82.4 kg

Quite pleased to limit the Christmas damage to a 2.2lb gain in December.
(And to see the first number on the scales was a 12, even if only just.)

Target for 2021 is get below 12 stone and stay there consistently.

Good luck everyone.

Cheers, Paul.

95.8kg this morning.

It’s not been a good couple of months for the waistline. And I just experienced a significant pain in my shin while running so I’m in the bath drinking beer and eating Walker’s Squares… which will definitely help my weight!

86.6 for me, lack of enthusiasm, plenty of food and booze has bumped me up 3kg from my best 2020 weight, although still a load lighter than my starting 2020 weight of 94.8kg!

Hovering around 71. Added 3lbs to my Zwift weight to bring it thwre also and that stings so useful motivation to get to 69:xx ASAP.

Should slip down, hopefully. Though my exercise opps are fleeting and short at the mo.

83.7 after breakfast this morning

Down 1.3kg this week. All I’ve done is cut out the junk food and eaten healthier so that’s probably water retention going!

Still, a win is a win. Only another 6ish kg to go

102.0kg on New Years Day, 100.9kg the following Monday & 100.2kg today.
Had hoped to be under 100kg today but slipped too many times and tucked into the crap that’s still hanging around from Christmas.
