2021 - The Weigh In Thread

Two girls in work do something like that, they do a touch of gym but nothing like us cardio freeks on here.

They swear by it.

I tried it once on a week of nights last year, started and finished the same weight, and I ate half of cadburys reserve stock in 7 days.

I actually overate to see if it worked, ironically felt really good in the week after it too.
Get after it !

80.28kg in March, currently extremely annoyed with myself to be 87.54kg this morning, although it was worse than that, being back in the office has really not helped me at all, need to get back on it

87.8 this morning.

Since Monday been back on 16:8 and cut a lot of the processed stuff I was eating, bread was always wholemeal but I’ve gone without but my biggest downfall was biscuits and chips (crisps), also binned the Coke Zero.

Still chomping into the fruit and some nuts but drinking more water. Putting this out here to make myself accountable.

70.9 this morning

Lots of fruits, veggies and boiled water yesterday … not much else to be honest, delightful… not

I sometimes just have boiled water it seems like a game to drink it whilst warm. If I have a cold glass on my desk it just sits there all day.

One coffee
One hot water

Repeat.

Looking forward to eating some crap today though.

87.7kg this morning. Back on the straight and narrow after a weekend at Mum’s (which is always a disaster for my weight!)

99.7kg today, I’ve been up and down around the the 98-100kg for weeks now and don’t seem able to make any lasting progress.

I’ve been like that for most of this year in the 87-89 range. One thing is clear, as you get older, exercise means less and less when it comes to weight management.

My return to training has been greatly overstated

73kg - creeping up slowly….

67.8, similar to @tunster , slowly moving away from that Summer/Autumn 66 that I seemed to hold for months.

Psychologically, I’m feeling that there’s a subconscious process going here on to fatten me up and prepare me for a harsh Scottish Winter, oh, and maybe the temple wants a bit more protection from those 1/2 hour Loch swims

I’m struggling at 80kg, want to lose it but cannot motivate myself to cut out the junk.

For some context, I’m 5’7”, so not a good weight.

Are you guys at 80kg+ taller?

I’m 80kg and 179cm (5’10") though trending down back towards 77kg which is where I normally settle.

I’m 177cm. (for years I thought I was 178, so I’m even fatter than first thought!)

I always thought the ’ slow metabolism’ excuse was absolute BS (and still might be) but everything post 55yrs is just bloody harder, including my own discipline.

I’m 6’2" although I suspect I may have shrunk a bit.
It’s nowhere near enough to justify my weight though.

Nope I’m 172cm haven’t been below 82 this year 86 now

I’ll be 54 in February, this is the heaviest I’ve ever been.

Yeah, you’re right, metabolisin slowing and discipline is also right out of the window!
