The infamous Cardiff Half :rofl::see_no_evil:

What am I missing TP? Was it short or something?

Seems good this year. I think I was actually supposed to be running it. I’d entered, with this mate, back in 20 and was starting to dial up the training when covid hit.

I may actually still have a place for this Oct. Not sure.

Yeah, it’s been short in the past.
Infamously so.

Hmm, £360 for a family ticket. :open_mouth:

What’s that you say, Chris Evans involved?

Has he stepped back in time (to when he was relevant)?! :rofl:

Hmmm … so my season may have taken an unexpected twist and turn. I already pulled out of the long lapped ultra thing this month, putting all eggs in the Cotswold basket in July. Then the only other plan was to join my mate on a 200km+ coastal FKT attempt. But i must admit, i wasn’t 100% sold on it. For some reasone my super long distance mojo has waned in the last 2 years (his is back in full).

My other mate that just ran a sub 70 HM in Cardiff on the weekend is trying to convince me not to hang up my road shoes just yet. He wasnt to get a crew together for the other Cardiff half in Oct. He wants me to train with him for me to go for a sub 75 (which was my 2020 goal pre covid).

Now i just looked in my emails and i found that i do indeed have a deferred spot for the October race! :speak_no_evil:

Coming out of the HIM in July, would put me in a perfect spot to kick on into a pure running block.

I would be lying if i said i wasn’t tempted! My ego would very much like to have a sub 75 on the CV. And surely the cheat shoes can give me a minute for free!!!

:thinking:

Just rock up to a couple of parkruns after the 70.3 for some speedwork and you’ll be fine!
