Entry is here, I’ll make sure I’m your two minute man
I’m baking two cakes for it.
Kickback Coffee roasters is also on the climb
Not a ‘race’ but has anyone on here done the Burgess parkrun?
Down in London at the weekend and that is the nearest one to where I am staying.
Solid result, its a prestigeous race and 2nd is a great result. For me racing has become my way of dealing with life… i suspect you’ll be sucsessful getting to Kona in the not too distant future.
… or maybe you’d fancy lining up at the start of next years Transcontinental race
I did this parkrun back in December 2015. It’s flat, it’s an out and back with a loop at the far end. Can’t remember too much more, nothing sticks out as being particularly good or bad. I’m sure you will enjoy it, have fun!
think it has a rep for being one of London’s fastest if you’re going for a PB
Well done @TROSaracen , 2nd in AG is fab result & in the curcumstances .
Enjoyed your report fella, well done on grinding it out and a good school day for next time .

The ‘ultimate’ triathlon event. SUP/bike/run
My board is so crap and slow I’d be better off swimming!
SUP it up buttercup
Link no worky. The Eastbourne triathlon has been offering a SUP version for a few years I think
Years ago there used to be a HIM in Singapore run by the sadly deceased Nick Munting. I think the first two editions clashed, or were close to the F1 GP and it got moved and then died.
There was a clause in the race conditions that basically, it you were a local and didn’t feel comfortable swimming, you didn’t have to.
That went down well in Oz!
SUPbikerun have been quite active on Instagram for a while. Their events look quite good if a little niche.
not been a SUP version at Eastbourne Tri that I’m aware of - and until the move to Wales I was TO there!
there was some company looking at doing one in the Exceat valley between Eastbourne and Seaford on the river but don’t think that ever happened
Looks it was a one off in 2016
“The Eastbourne Triathlon is a sprint plus triathlon, consisting of a 600m sea swim, 25km bike course and 5.3k run. In addition to the triathlon, running concurrently will be two separate events, an Aquabike (600m swim / 25km bike) and a SUP (stand-up paddle board) triathlon (750m SUP / 25km bike / 5.3km run).”
Guess it wasnt very popular
ah - remember now. the SUP version never happened as the RD didn’t get enough entries. the current Eastbourne Tri is now run by a different crew that basically took the event over in 2018 from the previous RD and is a totally different beast now.
