Mark lewis?!

On you tube has several videos about it.

It looks fantastic, I was training virtually against 2nd place 50-55 Manchester last year, going well too, but the burpee jumps destroy my back !

Never say never though, those sleds are graft !!!

Manchester ?

What time do you think you will get ?

Yep Manchester. Difficult to say about a time. Should be able to handle all of the workouts and the runs should be ok. Would like to be able to do the 100m lunges and the wall balls without more than a brief pause so I’m working on those. Better practice those Burpee Broad Jumps they look like a heart rate spike. Let’s say 1hr20 as a goal.

5 mins x 16 ( 8 runs 8 stations ) = 1:20.
Plus the time from run course to station which is quite big in some areas.

5 min km runs sound easy, but Christ on a time trial bike, you finish some of those stations and you can hardly stand, I was gutted with the injury, I’ll probably have another go at some stage.

It’s more like x17, the last one for the Roxzone total time moving between run and work station and then vice Versa.

Is it at G-Mex?
Some great pubs nearby for afterwards :rofl::rofl:

Was approx 30 seconds faster than the same course in March. Slightly disappointed with that as was hoping for more of an improvement, but my weight loss hadn’t been as good as I’d have hoped and training hasn’t been perfect.

Last race of 2022 for me, local 10k.

Not my best performance, a little behind people I usually run with.

Nevertheless good to get in the books. Back stronger in 2023.

Two more left for me this year. Goodwood marathon next Sun and a 51km ultra on Dec 27th based in the Meon Valley, Hants.

Both will be ‘bring it and wing it’

Everything about that sounds terrible.

Looking for good ones in London…

Just occurred to me (saw @Poet is putting gravel tyres on) that there might be one or two folk interested in the TestDuro https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Gvv3dYObGRPqohIjNUGS2YzQWMXQNF17/view?usp=sharing

Or this is the Strava club Romsey, England, United Kingdom Club | TestDuro on Strava

It’s a bit like the smaller Racing Collective events but there’s no fixed date, you just have to rock up and complete the route round the Test Valley bridleways, byways and back roads, in one day, before the end of New Year’s Day. It’s not that long, just a bit of hard going in places. More a nice day out than a brutal sufferfest. Route is great. Has short, timed segments. Not likely to be faster on your TT bike, though

I did WalesDURO in July. It was very low key but spectacularly good.

That looks awesome. Will it be on again in July 2023? I’m booked up but I’ve mates who would be very interested…

I expect so. I don’t have anything to do with organising it but they’ve run everything very consistently. It’s really low key so you just say you’re going on Strava, fill in their registration/disclaimer form, and then turn up for most of them. The WalesDuro offers a dossing field and food in mid-Wales so you need to keep an eye out for them releasing tickets (was not until June last year, I think) if you want to do that - not a requirement…
