People Took Some Potassium and Lost Some Weight

Fucking two weeks is all it took to undermine two months. Fucking fuck.
Stress/Anxiety diet is working well. 122.5kg, so nearly 4kg in a month.
Oddly when I measure my belly it isnt any smaller, but my wife has said I look like I have lost weight. Wonder if I measured it wrong the last time I did it. Or maybe I am just bloated or something.
Either way I weight less than I used to and my wife said its noticeable. 21kg done in total, another 22kg to go
Are you doing the before and after/ transformation photos. 21kg is a heck of a lot of weight. Well done. …
…That’s a third of my body weight ![]()
Fuck yeah. All those trotter shots Ive had to endure. One day, and you wont know when its coming, but there will be multiple photos of me in my pants.
Forgot what thread I was on and I clicked it. Bastard.
@GRamsay - Well done on the 21kg lost. ![]()
Although, obviously, the stress diet approach isn’t ideal.
But…

Nasty guy !
Stress/anxiety normally causes me to pile on the weight, so well done. Having said that, I’m almost constantly on the stress/anxiety at the moment (not too bad right at this moment thankfully!) and weight is stable (possibly reducing a bit, I still haven’t found the bathroom scales and I’m wary of asking who’s hidden them!)
It can go either way for me. Recently I haven’t felt much like eating a few days. But in the past I have comfort eaten and of course drank to much which I am trying hard not to fall into now.
Doing some back of the envelope calculations to figure out what effect exercise has had on weight this year
strava says bike approx 5000km, which I reckon equates to about 100Mcal or 10kg and run 1500km which is probably another 100Mcal
Swim ? er… not much
So I reckon if I had not exercised at all, but eaten and drank the same, would be about 20kg heavier ![]()
Haven’t fact checked these calcs though!
Which is exactly what has happened to me in the past.
I know they say you grt fit in the gym and thin in the kitchen but for me exercise or training has been a good way of keeping the weight in check, take that away and dont change the diet and you quickly pile on the pounds
So after I mentioned the potato diet and reading the blog - I started Low-Dose Potassium Community Trial: Sign up Now – SLIME MOLD TIME MOLD
Obviously with a ~22 BMI, I’m not overweight, although I do have obvious fat in some places, so a genuine lean race weight would likely be lower, anyway who knows if it’s unrelated or not, but I’m ~2kg’s lighter after 17days, despite having been stable weight all year, and it’s an absolute piece of piss of a “diet”, just whacking in some extra potassium, and eating normally.
I keep forgetting to ask how this is going and whether it was work making one of my new year resolutions to sprinkle potassium on my cornflakes?

Right, so I went out to 60 days, but I’d stabilised at 3kg off after about 25 days. I then stopped supplementing it, and there’s been no obvious change in the 20 odd days since yet, so still 3kg’s down, I’ve been unwell and the ice also screwed up exercise volume, and christmas eating, so it’s all lots of variables since the 60 days anyway.
I really don’t have a lot more to obviously lose anyway, I’m lower consistent weight than I’ve been since before I went over 100kg’s.
The overall results in the “study” were pretty variable, only had an effect on some people in the study, not all, the potatoes were better

I’ll probably start taking it again at some point to see if it does something different - but it lost me some weight for sure.
73…9.
Lower than at any time in 2022. ( I think ?!)
It’s coming.
Should probably archive this one now there’s a 2023 thread
